The Law Book is an item in the SNES and PC releases of Mario's Time Machine. It is based on the British legal system. It is obtained from a British judge located in Calcutta. According to the judge, he received the book from Mahatma Gandhi, but he also hates Gandhi, so he decides to give it to Mario. Mario then takes it to a nearby merchant, who is interested in following in the footsteps of Gandhi and becoming a lawyer, but has misplaced his own law book. Once the Law Book is given to the merchant, he gratefully accepts it, discussing how the British legal system is one of the few good aspects of Britain's colonial rule, and then talks further about Gandhi and his efforts to liberate India.
