The '''Anteroom''' (Japanese: 控え室 ''Waiting Room'') is the second room [[Luigi]] explores in [[Luigi's Mansion (place)|Luigi's Mansion]]; it is located in the first area. The Anteroom resembles a short hallway and is where Luigi first encounters [[Purple Puncher]]s.

It is north of the [[Parlor (Luigi's Mansion)|Parlor]] and east of the [[Wardrobe Room]]. The Anteroom resembles a short hallway, nearly empty aside from two chandeliers and three drawers, each with a blue vase on top.


After Luigi entered the Anteroom from the [[Parlor]], the doors were blocked with force fields, trapping the green plumber inside the room. He was then attacked by several [[Gold Ghost]]s. After dispatching these ghouls, Luigi was attacked by a few [[Purple Puncher]]s, who proved to be much more powerful than their weaker cousins. However, the brave plumber managed to dispatch them. When all the ghosts were captured, the force fields disappeared and Luigi continued his adventure into the [[Wardrobe Room]].

Later on, after the [[List of Boos in Luigi's Mansion|Boos]] are released from their hiding place, a [[Boo]] named Bootha appears in the Anteroom, hiding in one of the three drawers.


The Anteroom is probably the blandest room in the game, having nothing but vases on tables inside.

The Anteroom is a location in Luigi's Mansion and its Nintendo 3DS version. It is located in the first area of Luigi's Mansion. It is the third room explored in the game. It is north of the Parlor and east of the Wardrobe Room. The Anteroom resembles a short hallway, nearly empty aside from two chandeliers and three drawers, each with a blue vase on top.

When Luigi first enters the Anteroom, the doors are blocked with force fields, trapping him inside. He has to vacuum up a few Gold Ghosts and Purple Punchers (which first appear in the Anteroom). Once all the ghosts are captured, the force fields disappear, opening access to the Wardrobe Room. Later on, after the Boos are released from their hiding place, a Boo named Bootha appears in the Anteroom, hiding in one of the three drawers.
