#REDIRECTList of fighters debuting in Super Smash Bros. Brawl#Pokémon Trainer
Pokémon Change is a move used by the Pokémon Trainer in the upcoming Super Smash Bros. Brawl. It will be his Down special move. Once used, the Pokémon Trainer will return his current Pokémon, and send out another one. For example, let's say he starts off with Charizard in the beginning of the battle. When he uses Pokémon Change for the first time in battle, he switches his Charizard with Squirtle. If he uses it again, he will send out Ivysaur. Afterwards, Charizard re-enters the battle, and the queue starts over again. This attack has many more strategy options, as players can now switch between three characters. This is similar to Zelda's and Sheik's Transform move. Like Transform, each Pokémon shares the same HP, and it is bad to switch out too often, or not often enough. The best time to use it is when the Pokémon looks tired when idle.
