Gu Goomba / Pro Goomba Hey, maybe I CAN win!

Fire (element)

Fire is property assigned to abilities in the Mario role-playing games, especially for attacks involving fire. Some enemies take additional damage if they are weak to fire, and some enemies may have a resistance to or even absorb fire to restore health. In some games, fire elemental attacks often have the Burn status effect. Certain equipment may provide resistance to the fire element for the wearer.

Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars

Fire is one of the four elements in the game, the other three being Jump, Ice, and Lighting. Fire attacks are often used by fiery enemies. Mario is the only character in the party that can use Specials inbued with fire.

Paper Mario

In Paper Mario, enemies weak to fire take two additional points of damage, with the exeption of Dry Bones which take ten and defeat them. The Fire Flower item and Kooper's Fire Shell are the only things the player can use to inflict Fire damage.
