Zoom Room is a Bowser Jr. minigame in Mario Party 9.
Introduction[edit]
There is an aerial shot of the maze. The camera zooms in on Bowser Jr., who does a taunting dance and laughs. The camera then shifts back to the players.
Gameplay[edit]
The pair must try to catch Bowser Jr. before time runs out. Players run around the maze, chasing Bowser Jr., who sweats when a player gets close to him. Bowser Jr. always runs faster than the players, so it is impossible for just one player to catch him. Therefore, the two players must cooperate in order to corner him. Players can refer to the mini-map in the center of the screen, though it shows only characters, not walls. The best chance of catching Bowser Jr. is when the players run at him from opposite sides when he is in a corner. If the players fail to catch Bowser Jr. within 30 seconds, he is victorious.
Ending[edit]
If the players catch Bowser Jr., they kick him, and he falls down dizzy. The players then strike victory poses. If they fail to catch him, he cackles at the players as they groan in disappointment.
In-game text[edit]
- Rules – "Work with your teammate to catch Bowser Jr. as he races around the maze."
