Star Keys[1] are collectible keys that appear in Mario Pinball Land. A Star Key is dropped by the boss of each of the first four stages in the game after the boss is defeated, meaning there are four Star Keys in total. Collecting a Star Key earns the player 100,000 points. If the player does not get a Game Over, every Star Key collected after that earns them 100,000 more points than the previous one. To enter the Fiery Stage, Mario must insert a Star Key into each of the four boss statues to open the gate in front of Bowser's castle.
