Hot Cross Blocks
Mario Party Minigame
Appears in Super Mario Party Jamboree
Type 4-Player minigame

Hot Cross Blocks is a 4-Player minigame found in Super Mario Party Jamboree. The name is a pun on "hot cross buns".[1]

Introduction

The camera pans from the exit door to the players, who do a ready animation. The camera then pans to a bird's-eye view.

Gameplay

The players need to select one of the four block patterns that appear on the right of screen to traverse. If more then one player picks the same block pattern, they all will not get it. The same happens if a player selects a block pattern that does not connect to their block path, though the block pattern will still be applied, it will sink immediately after. The first player(s) to make it to the other side win(s). The minigame ends immediately once any player finishes; players who have not finished are ranked based on how far they were away from the goal.

Ending

The players are standing at the exit door where any players who reached the end perform their winning animation, while the losing players do their losing animation behind them.
