A Giant Goomba is the giant version of a Goomba.

Giant Goombas first appeared in Super Mario Bros. 3, where they were seen in the world Giant Land, along with Giant Koopa Troopas and Giant Piranha Plants. Apart from their size, they behave like regular Goombas and have to be jumped upon to the defeat them. In Super Mario 64, Giant Goombas appeared in the small side (where Mario is small) of Tiny Huge Island where they were probably even twice the size of Mario. However, as it was Mario who was actually small, the Giant Goomba was actually a normal sized Goomba.

In Super Mario Galaxy, a single Giant Goomba appeared in the Gateway Galaxy. It is too big for Mario or Luigi to jump on it. They have to cause an earthquake to make it flip around, then defeat it by kicking it. It holds a key to free an imprisoned Luma.

The Giant Goomba later appeared in Super Smash Bros. Brawl as an enemy in the Subspace Emissary that takes a few more hits to defeat than a regular Goomba. It is not to be confused with the Mega Goomba from New Super Mario Bros.

Giant Goomba File:TrGiant goomba.jpg N64 Super Mario 64 A giant-sized Goomba, as the name suggests. In Super Mario 64, punching and kicking had no effect on this brute. It could be stopped like normal Goombas--by jumping on it from above. A colossal Goomba appears as the boss of world four in New Super Mario Bros., but that's a Mega Goomba, not a Giant Goomba.
