By repositionning a multitude of mirrors, they managed to shine light on, and open the Sun Door, which lead to the room where the villains were preparing to awaken the Beanstar. However, when Cackletta activated the [[Peach Bot]]s that supposedly housed [[Princess Peach]]'s stolen voice, they made a strange noise that angered the Beanstar, causing it to destroy the ground beneath it, sending it and the Peach Bots falling down into the university's basement. Mario and Luigi defeat Cackletta, who's essense is sucked up by Fawful (into his [[headgear]]) for safe-keeping. [[Prince Peasley]] then appears and throws Fawful out of the univeristy, before telling the brothers to go to the basement and retrieve the Beanstar. However, [[Popple]] and [[Rookie]] (who was actually an amnesiac [[Bowser]]) had already found the artifact and had to be deafed in order for the Mario bros to obtain ownership of the Beanstar.
