Grindel is an enemy in Super Mario 64. They are mummified Thwomps, but have a different eyes and mouths. They try to smash Mario in the pyramid of Shifting Sand Land.
Grindel also appears in Mario Party 2, in Lava Tile Isle. Contestants push and fight while the Grindel moves, trying to push characters into the lava.
