These two should be separate articles and here's why Leo Luster not only has an entirely different personality from Bluster Kong but he also has a different appearance so this is basically a less known version of Mr. L which has it's own article despite being luigi whose been brainwashed so if Leo Luster doesn't get an article then Mr. L shouldn't get an article because they are basically the same thing. As for the Nurse Toadstool precedent I do not think you can apply that to this article and here's why while Nurse Toadstool is just Toadstool wearing a nurse outfit Leo Luster is the creation of Bluster Kong when he drinks or uses all of his hair tonic at once so it's basically like him using a power up per se and Leo Luster has a separate personality while Nurse Toadstool doesn't (not to mention the fact that I think that Nurse Toadstool should get her own article anyways.) | |||

Merge Leo Luster into Bluster Kong[edit]

merge 13-5
Using the same logic we used in merging Nurse Toadstool with Princess Peach, shouldn't this be merged as well? Not to mention there isn't to much information on this page to begin with.
Proposer: Knife (talk)
Voting start: 2 December, 2010, 11:50
Deadline: 16 December, 2010 23:59 GMT.
Support Merge[edit]
- Knife (talk) – Per proposal reasons.
- MrConcreteDonkey (talk) Per Knife.
- Marioguy1 (talk) - This could be expanded but just like King Koopa's numerous different names don't have articles, neither should a different name for Bluster Kong.
- BabyLuigiOnFire (talk) Per all.
- Mr.C (talk) - Per all.
- Ultramariologan (talk) Per all.
- Zero777 (talk) I am Zero! Per proposal. Zero signing out.
- MarioManiac (talk) Per all. But it's weird that Dr. Mario, Bowletta, Cackletta's Soul, and plenty of others have their own articles, though.
- New Super Mario (talk) Per Proposal
- Garlic Stapler (talk) Should be given it's own section in the Bluster Kong article. Per Knife.
- Walkazo (talk) - Per all. I'd even like to see some of those other pages (re-)merged too, actually.
- SWFlash (talk) It's not that notable.
- Mario304 (talk) Merge since both Bluster and Leo are one the same.
Oppose Merge[edit]
- Arend (talk) - Not before we merged all of Mario's Power-Up transformations to Mario, and all of Wario's transformations to Wario. Also not before we merged Blizzard Midbus to Midbus, and Bowletta to Cackletta, etc.
- Bowser's luma (talk) Just because it is a small article doesn't mean it is unnecessary. Since we do have articles about Dr. Mario, Warioman, etc., I think either they be merged with Mario, Wario, etc., or we keep articles like this. I previously supported the not-merge of Nurse Toadstool for the same reasons.
- Fawfulfury65 (talk) Per my comments.
- Mario&Kirby180 (talk) It doesn't need to be merged. That is like saying Zelda should be merged with Sheik. They have different information. Merge is not needed
- Yoshi's Island (talk) - Per all.
Comments[edit]
@Marioguy1: A bunch of King Koopa's alter egos actually do have articles for some reason; according to King Koopa's alter egos, eight of them do, with one having featured status. (Just wanted to point this out, I'm not saying Leo Luster should definitely keep his own article because of this.)--vellidragon 03:14, 3 December 2010 (UTC)
- Honestly? Consistency fail much >_>
- I think I may go propose those get merged into Bowser/The Adventures of Super Mario Bros. Episodes (or whatever that series is >_>). Marioguy1 (talk)
@Arend: This character has even less a role than Nurse Toadstool. It's an alter-ego that only appeared in one episode of a hardly famous series, about a character not many people know about. MrConcreteDonkey 23:16, 5 December 2010 (UTC)
- Well, his role is how the important events of the episode take place so he actually is very important. Leo Luster has a completely different personality than Bluster and is created by a mix of potions (well, actually hair care products), just as Mario changes with special items. If you watch the episode, Bluster treats his Leo Luster form like a whole different character. Fawfulfury65 (talk)
@Knife: Nurse Toadstool was merged because she was no different than Princess Peach, besides the way she is dressed. Leo Luster is not the same as Bluster and he has a very different personality. Fawfulfury65 (talk)
But then what about King K. Rool? He has two other forms (with different attacks, abilities, and personalities) incorporated into his article and both of them are much more major than Leo Luster, who is "an alter-ego that only appeared in one episode of a hardly famous series, about a character not many people know about" (taken from MrConcreteDonkey).--Knife (talk) 19:28, 10 December 2010 (UTC)
- Doesn't the DKC2 manual mention that the different K. Rools are aliases and not alter egos? I still also think it would only make sense to merge Mario's powerup forms if this is merged, because Leo Luster is created from a mixture of hair tonics, just like Mario changes forms with items. Fawfulfury65 (talk)
- No, or at least, not in the English ones. I have a scanned version of the GBA port which says "The leader of the pack is back" in Kaptain K. Rool's description, and I've found transcriptions of the SNES manual that include that, as well as Wrinkly saying "I thought we'd seen the last of that old rascal for a while,". Wikipedia's Japanese page says they're brothers, but I haven't been able to track down a scanned version of the Japanese manuals yet to verify, and the website didn't have anything (that I could find). - Walkazo 05:19, 11 December 2010 (UTC)
- I'm a little confused. The manuals sound like they are saying that King K. Rool is back. If Kaptain K. Rool and Baron K. Roolenstein are both King K. Rool, wouldn't that mean they are aliases? Fawfulfury65 (talk)
- Wait, why are we bringing King K. Rool into this anyway? This is an alter-ego of a character I hadn't even heard of until Gamefreak's Donkey Kong mafia, from a cartoon not many people know, and is hardly notable. He's had only one episode screen time as this alter-ego and nobody is going to come looking for this if we merge it. Say I dress up as a woman, staying around in a hardly known place and grow a couple of flowers. Do I deserve an article? MrConcreteDonkey 14:13, 12 December 2010 (UTC)

I don't think it matters how notable he is. He's important to the episode. Leo Luster is completely different than Bluster. He's not just Bluster Kong in a different costume - he's created by serum. Rabbit Mario is the same person as Mario. Should we merge them too? Fawfulfury65 (talk)
- Rabbit Mario is playable, controllable character, and has a bigger role in a more Mario related medium. Also, our coverage isn't just on one episode of a (sorry if I'm repeating myself too much) hardly known and hardly notable televison series, it's on the Mario series, and this is pretty far away from that. Anyway, all the information won't be gone, it will be in a place where more people will recognise it.
MrConcreteDonkey 14:37, 12 December 2010 (UTC)
- Of course Leo Luster isn't playable. He appears in a cartoon, with a very major role though. It wouldn't be consistent to have Mario's powerups all with separate articles and not Leo Luster, since they are all created by a certain item. Like I said, Leo Luster isn't Bluster Kong dressed differently. I think he deserves his own article, even if he is hardly known to most people, since he is very important to the episode. Fawfulfury65 (talk)
- He isn't major in the whole series, just one episode that most people have never even heard of. That's about 15-30 minutes of actually being a major character. And how is he not him in different clothes, that's literally what he is, special hair products or not. MrConcreteDonkey 10:24, 13 December 2010 (UTC)

Have you seen the episode? The hair tonics actually change him into Leo Luster, like a Mario powerup. Leo Luster, again, has a different personality and completely different abilities. He can even hypnotize people, unlike Bluster. Fawfulfury65 (talk)
- It's just a name change. No matter how many hair tonics you use, it won't change who you are. Trust me, I've tried. Hair tonics do that anyway, he just changes his personality and name by choice.
