| In this form, he is a golden Maneki-neko holding a coin. Luigi's Golden Statue form is slightly different; he is a lefty Lucky Cat instead of a righty unlike everyone else. Very akin to Tanooki Mario's Statue Mario, Mario is impervious to nearly all obstacles while in this form. Differences other than aesthetics is that Mario can spawn coins while dropping in this form, and although immobile can defeat enemies that Invincible Mario only can. Mario cannot remain in this form indefinitely; he reverts to Lucky Cat Mario either if the player stops the ground pound or if a certain amount of time passes. If a power-up, such as a Boomerang Flower or a Super Leaf, lands on the player while in the golden statue form, they will revert to that form, despite being an invincible statue.
