According to Japanese Wikipedia's entry on Mario vs. Donkey Kong, the enemies known as Monchee in the North American manual are known as Monkikki (モンキッキ) in the Japanese version. From this, wouldn't you say that Monkikki's info should be merged into the Monchee article? LinkTheLefty (talk) 18:22, 30 September 2014 (EDT)

I'd say it's a good merge bearing the similarities between Monchee and this article, especially considering how Mario vs. Donkey Kong is basically a spiritual successor to Donkey Kong (Game Boy). I'd like to see some other sources other than Japanese Wikipedia which may conveniently make Monkikiki = Monchee because of the similarities and the way things are done, though. Now that you mention it, after posting this I noticed that someone else made the same conclusion over at the Game Boy Donkey Kong Talk Page, using a different source! LinkTheLefty (talk) 01:59, 1 October 2014 (EDT)
What conclusion? Oh yes, according to that post, most enemies from Mario vs. Donkey Kong are suggested to be the same ones from Donkey Kong (GBA). Interesting. Icon showing how many lives Mario has left. From Super Mario 64 DS. It's me, Mario! (Talk / Stalk) 02:01, 1 October 2014 (EDT)
That's right, Dust Man / Bucket Man can also probably be merged into Bin / Garbage Can - they're pretty much identical enemies, with the name variation possibly due to copyright concerns. LinkTheLefty (talk) 19:50, 9 October 2014 (EDT)

Comments[edit]

Actually, Monkikkis are harmful when touching anything other than their tails, but Monchees are never harmful. Warioad (talk) 20:15, 9 December 2014 (EST)

I don't remember that many opportunities where Mario can directly interact with one, but the Monkikki article currently says that the original enemies aren't harmful.. LinkTheLefty (talk) 18:11, 13 December 2014 (EST)
Thanks, these names are so close that I got them swapped. It's the Monchees that are harmful everywhere except their tails. Warioad (talk) 19:25, 15 December 2014 (EST)
