| A '''Blue Car''' is an automated obstacle found in ''[[Mario Kart: Double Dash!!]]'', ''[[Mario Kart Wii]]'', and ''[[Mario Kart 7]]''. It is found only in [[Mushroom Bridge]] of the [[Flower Cup]], and in [[Mushroom City]] of the [[Star Cup]] in ''Double Dash!!''. They reappear in ''Mario Kart Wii'', but only in [[Moonview Highway]]. They are found driving on their own at a relatively low speed on the main streets. They are not found driving on shortcuts so it is sometimes safer to take a shortcut than to get hit. In ''Mario Kart 7'', they are found in [[Wuhu Loop]] and act much the same as before. They are now depicted as a dark blue hatchback, instead of a light blue sedan. Aside from color, they are virtually the same as the [[Red Car]]s.

| The effect of hitting a Blue Car has the same effect as hitting a [[banana]] in ''Mario Kart: Double Dash!!'', simply leading to a wipe-out. Getting hit by it in ''Mario Kart Wii'' causes drivers to flip over or get flattened momentarily. They can not be destroyed; they can be harmed only by hitting it while using a [[Super Star|Star]], by running it over with a [[Chain Chomp]], by hitting it with a [[Bowser Shell]], or by running into it while using a [[Bullet Bill]] or [[Mega Mushroom]].
