== Rating == | |||

What's the source for the ESRB rating? - 13:35, 14 October 2007 (EDT)
:I was about to ask the same thing. I'm taking it out until someone answers this question. -Namodod
:Okay, so a Toys R Us ad was in my paper today, and it showed the boxart with the "T" rating. I know that's not the best source, but... should we change it? -Namodod
::It has been confirmed by this page as well. (Log in as "guest" with password "nintendo". Don't look at the boxart but the stats next to it.) - 12:27, 21 October 2007 (EDT)
==Peach Final Smash== | |||
Should her final smash have a conjectural name??? Javier12345
:No. The creation of articles on conjecturally named subjects from an unreleased game is prevented. In short: no. - 16:10, 14 October 2007 (EDT)
::Actually, I think we should mention her Final Smash somewhere. It has been seen in the trailers. We made an article on Super Sonic, so why not this?
== Speculated Characters ==
Shouldn't we put back the speculated characters section? because there's a huge percent of the rumoured characters being playable in brawl.
:A "rumored character" is nothing more than a character someone wants to have in, and that guy just states "XXX is in Brawl!" and it's called a rumor. It's nothing to be in an encyclopedia. - 16:19, 14 October 2007 (EDT)
If there was an official list of the top requested characters, then I'd say include it, but otherwise no.Captain Red Hook
== North Pole and Unknown Stage ==
Shouldn't the Ice Climber's Stage be mentioned. (In the new trailer, when the Ice Climber's tuant, the floor's icy and there are norhern lights in the background.) SmashWiki calls it North Pole. Also, (I would of brought this up on SmashWiki,(It's more notable there) but I don't have an account) what about the stage in the screenshots here: (Special Moves section) and User:Gowser
:Mario's special move sections show Rumble Falls, Delfino Plaza and Battleship Halberd. I don't think we should mention the other stages yet. - 09:58, 15 October 2007 (EDT)
THAT'S Rumble Falls? with the winmill, looks too zoomed in, and it looks diferent. User:Gowser
:It is, indeed, Rumble Falls. The Windmill is a feature in the stage, and also, it is a scrolling level. Of course their will be parts of the stage that look different from the rest. Also, notice in the last screenshot, their is a beanstalk in the background. Sakurai had stated in the Rumble Falls update that their would be a beanstalk on that stage.
::As for North Pole, it is WAY too soon to be making an article on a stage that has no official name yet, and has been seen only once; and it was a close up of the Ice Climbers, so the stage could not be seen well. Think about it; How much content will you have on an article that has no official name and no official information? Do the math! And don't go complaining over Norfair. That has an official name that was seen in the Demo Movies.
First off, you are being rude. Second, I NEVER said it need it's own article. User:Gowser
:First off, I'm rude to almost all Users, it is one of my worst qualities. Get used to it. Second, OK then.

== Zero Suit Samus' Final smash...? ==
I'm not sure she even has one.
Why? Because according to the Smash Bros. Dojo: "The Final Smash is a secret skill that can be performed but once…and only after obtaining an item called the Smash Ball, which is a precious item, indeed."
Since Samus used the Zero Laser to transform into Zero Suit Samus, does she have one at all? Giga Bowser 13:31, 18 October 2007 (EDT)
:It's disputable, she will most likely not have one. - 13:32, 18 October 2007 (EDT)
::And, all this is speculation of a ridiculous level, sorry to say. Wait for the game to be released before jumping to this conclusion.
:::Not stating information is hardly speculation. - 08:45, 19 October 2007 (EDT)
::::Er, good point. I'll shut up.
Nevermind. I was looking at SmashWiki, and apparantly a video has shown that Zero Suit Samus does indeed have a final Smash. The full effects are unknown, but ZSS is enveloped in a bright flash and she transforms back into regular Samus. This move has apparantly been dubbed "Crystal Flash". Check out Smash Wiki for more info.
This confuses me because Sakurai said final smashes could only be performed once. Maybe, but unlikely, he meant once everytime you get the Smash ball, or once at a time.
:I think you are forgetting, Zero Suit Samus is somewhat of her own character.
== Archive == | |||
Shouldn't we be archiving this page by now?
:I've been thinking of it for some time now, but I was too lazy. I doubt we need an additional archive page, we could just put it into the first archive. - 08:41, 19 October 2007 (EDT)
== The Other Mario == | |||
In this video, | |||
http://gonintendo.com/?p=27632#comments
, the nintendo rep (fat guy) said that Luigi would be a playable character (oops).
So what should we do about this? User:Fixitup
:Looks like he said it accidently. Not really surprising, but what to add to the page? There's nothing more we know. - 17:44, 19 October 2007 (EDT)
Off-topic, ray gun, fire flower, and mushroom could be seen in that video... >_>

From the E for All. All of them are in Gametrailers, and shows some gameplay of the Subspace Emisary mode (also, more videos of the story), and new elements, like Skarmory as a Pokemon.--Caith Sith 19:08, 19 October 2007 (EDT)
Also, I noticed the Spring Board (Mario series), and Lightning Bolt (Mario Kart series) appear in these new E for All videos... perhaps a mention is in order? -- Nintendax 23:09, 22 October 2007 (EDT)
:Are you sure the spring board is not that of Sonic's Spring Jump? - 10:42, 23 October 2007 (EDT)
I'm quite positive that it's in fact not from Sonic's special ability. In fact, is where I saw it at 0:34 -- Nintendax 22:42, 25 October 2007 (EDT)

== Ball with spikes. == | |||
I think it's a Gordo from the Kirby series
:We don't know what it is, which is why we aren't saying what he think it is. The possibilities are Gordo from Kirby and Sea Urchin from Clu Clu Land. Because it could be either one, we'll just call spike ball for the time being, OK?
== Surprisingly Different? ==
In King Dedede's entry, it states:
King Dedede enters as a heavy and large character, with, suprisingly, a different moveset from Kirby.
How is it surprising? The only things those 2 have in common in their series is that they can both inhale their opponents, spit them out as stars, and float. That's it. Other than that, they are nothing alike. ElementGodX
: | :I've heard from many that he has an almost exact moveset to Kirby's. I haven't played many Kirby games, so, I can't say for sure.
Remember, its being translated from Japanese to English, so sometimes the words don't make sense. -- Son of Suns
:Uh, Sos, that was what I put on the article, not what Sakurai put on the Dojo!! :
::It's true, they are similar, but I would still remove that "surprisingly" thing. We need to be careful when we use adverbs as they tend to inject sentences with opinion. 19:29, 29 October 2007 (EDT)

== Yoshi's Island DS? ==
The information for the Yoshi's Island stage says it's from Yoshi's Island DS, though if I'm correct - doesn't it look more like the original Yoshi's Island game? --Bentendo 16:32, 26 October 2007 (EDT)
:I don't actually know those Yoshi games, but as far as I remember, it stated Yoshi's Island DS in constrast to Yoshi's Story, as the Smash and Melee Yoshi's Island/Yoshi's Story stage were from that game. An earlier version of this page also mentioned Yoshi Touch & Go. Feel free to change things to how you think they are accurate. - 17:20, 26 October 2007 (EDT)
::It is based on Yoshi Touch & Go. Yoshi's Island DS didn't have any Support Ghosts.

== Minor NP information ==
While nothing was really revealed in the new Nintendo Power, there were new images -
*One showing Meta Knight fighting Charizard, ultimately with the former character winning. BTW - Charizard looks tiny!
*One shows Lucas ding a kick in the air with what appears to be some kind of magic shooting out of his shoe.
*One shoes Diddy Kong happily eating a banana, or finishing it...
*A few show the awesome Metal Gear stage.
*Another Metal Gear image shows Snake tossing a knife in the air.
*Also, the game is on the cover, and it's the same artwork that's on the box. --Bentendo 18:38, 26 October 2007 (EDT)

== Counting == | |||
Counting is really hard. Look at this page and count twenty-three icons. Then read the text where it says excluding Zero Suit Samus, so you substract one and end up on twenty-two. There are twenty-two characters confirmed by this counting method and no more. - 19:13, 26 October 2007 (EDT)
== Spring == | |||
I'm asking for the last time whether the Spring item isn't in fact Sonic's Spring Jump spring. Can anyone give at least an answer? Else, I'd like to get rid of the notice... - 04:45, 27 October 2007 (EDT)
Yes it's the spring in the Mario series, I saw it in a Youtube video. So this is true info. It the one with the diamond center. Pikatwo

== Enemy list == | |||
Should we have a list of creatures that roam around to do damage anywhere? Like Waddle Dee, Goomba, etc. Sort of like ReDead in the last game.
| |||
:I'd hold up on that. Right now, we don't know that they will act the same as the ReDeads. I'll bet you're right though, but I don't want you to right it just to have it deleted because it's "not canon." Yeah, I'm still spiteful from when it happened to me... sorry. 19:35, 29 October 2007 (EDT)
== Subspace Emissary Images ==
Are there too many Images in the Story section, or is the amount of images fine? I personally think the amount of Images is OK, but Fixitup is persistant in removing them. Comments, please.
:It does look pretty tight there, especially when you look at it full screen on a 1600x1400 monitor or whatever the heck this thing is I'm looking at. Maybe we could shrink them and shove them all over to the right? How does 150px sound? 07:01, 31 October 2007 (EDT)
::On closer inspection, quite a few are somewhat worthless, really. I'm removing the Images that aren't needed, and keeping the ones with great detail about the Story.
== | == On-Screen Appearance... ==
I think we should add a thing on the character entries for their on-screen appearances. Anyone?
:I | :They are too minor to have a section here, but you can put information on them on each character's individual article. - 18:18, 2 November 2007 (EDT)
::I would incorporate them into the characters section if I were you. Since we're a specialty Wiki, isn't anything that's part of a game like this by definition not too minor? 18:25, 2 November 2007 (EDT)
:::Yeah, I was thinking they at least deserved a small mention in the characters'... box thingys. >_>

== Music == | |||
I'm working to rewrite the music, just to let you guys know. In the near future I hope to have an organizable list of composers, with their works in game and favorite works out of the game (those featured by Sakurai). So, basically, what I'm saying is if you're thinking of doing the same don't waste your time, or let me know so I don't waste mine. 19:16, 28 November 2007 (EST)
:Wait, lemme ask. What exactly are you planning on doing to the section? I understand you are going to add a list of all the composers (IMO, we should just give a link to the Musicians update on the Smash Bros. Dojo!! =|). But, what will you do with the list of music tracks in the game? =
::I'm going to sort them according to the musician (which the website hasn't done yet) for the chart, but I also want to make a list of tracks, perhaps in the same fashion (sortable), that shows which stage it is featured on, who made it, and what game (or games, if there's a medley) it first appeared in. This is all going to take a while, but for now, does it sound good? 20:57, 29 November 2007 (EST)
:::I'm still a bit confused, but, you've never let us down with this page (maybe once or twice, but, who's to say? XD), so, I'll trust you with this. I'll judge it when I see it. ;)
::::Well thank you! :3 And you've always been the guy to get the DOJO updates up and stylin' first! ...and then I come along and elaborate things to death... >.> Hopefully I'm doing a good job with that. ;) 21:42, 29 November 2007 (EST)
:::::Yeah. But, the main issue is that you treat this too much like a SmashWiki. You make article links to Game Mechanics that are restricted to SSB, such as Knock Outs, Transformation, etc. Other than that, you do good with the Brawl stuff. =) I hope you do a good job on the music section. =
::::There's actually a :Category:Forms that was more of waht I was thinking with the transformations. Maybe those terms other terms should be in the glossary? 23:46, 29 November 2007 (EST)
:::By the way, I just found a good reason for my doing this rather than just directing people to the list of musicians: that list is incomplete. I've already found three people not listed there, including Nobuo, the exteremely presigious Final Fantasy composer who wrote SSBB's main theme. It also does not mention the vocalists, so I'll include them, too. It's coming along well, by the way. 19:35, 30 November 2007 (EST)
::::OK, that's a better reason for adding the list of Composers. GO FOR IT, STUMP MAN! =P

::::"Twilight Change" doesn't say anything at all. Something that could be called "Twilight Change" happened in Zelda TP at the end and didn't include Sheik (before -> after). They only showed the image from her Final Smash, which is totally blurry. For what reason? I'd agree there's that image, but unless they elaborate from where it is I wouldn't add something, and it only shows how the Final Smash looks like. The Sheik confirmation is totally unconvincing, we've had fake news and wrong speculation in the past. In any case, when I put up those Special Moves boxes to the characters section of this page, I agreed only when they are kept clear from any speculation, so either that, or we can return to a gallery of the characters images and the pages of the characters explain more, the spam is getting on my nerves. - 08:45, 11 January 2008 (EST)

Sheik's profile on the Smash Bros. DOJO!! website isn't the only one that features the names of a character's special moves and Final Smash. This applies for the other characters, as well. Even though specific moves didn't have updates yet, they are listed there nonetheless. For example, Bowser's profile states that his side special move is the "Flying Slam" (replacing "Koopa Klaw" from Melee) and Olimar's Final Smash is "End of Day". ...*Ahem*
I | By looking at this Wikipedia disscussion, one can see the main point of what I'm saying. Basicly, a jpanise video was posted on the offical Wii site here. I believe that the section of the video was removed, but image can be found here and here one sees in the boxed area, emblems of NESS, LUCIARO, and JIGGLYPUFF. Look at the wikipedia disscussion for more. HyperToad
I | Okay, I just watched the video, and THE EMBLEMS HAVE BEEN REMOVED. All the more reason that this is offical, as they wouldn't of removed them if they didn't mean it was a leak! HyperToad 10:54, 21 January 2008 (EST)
:"Biggest News yet"? We still shouldn't integrate them into the article, we'd have nothing to say, no image to show, no move to list. So you have to be patient, it's only a week and a half until release. - 10:58, 21 January 2008 (EST)
::Yeah but then we'll get a whole bunch of random crap from people who have claimed to play the game, I don't see how we can't include this. I'm going to wait for more responds. HyperToad

::I've seen the emblems and I know that that means that the characters are in. Still, we should wait with updating this page before we have anything more to show than an emtpy box in the character table with only the name listed. The information can go to Ness and Jigglypuff, but still not in the form it is right now. - 11:35, 21 January 2008 (EST)
:Yes, of course. Paper Jorge And I think we're going to have to wait until Lucario-whatever is revealed officially.
: | |||
: | |||
First of all, I want to make to any people who are NEW TO THIS DISSCUSSION that we arn't taking about series emblems. Second of all, can't we state it under the boxes, cuz I agree, adding 3 new boxes with no artwork or special moves is pointless, but under it (next to the desciption of when the characters were confirmed and stuff) we could add something. HyperToad
:Major high-fives to all involved! How did everyone predict Lucidcaro-garo-whatever? I thought that was just fan speculation, but there you go! Nice! Anyway, my vote goes for the posting a notice at the bottom of the character sections and posting about Lucario on the Pokemon page... so just more support here. ;) 12:49, 21 January 2008 (EST)

:Pictures of the character's head. Paper Jorge In the Sticker Section.
::Good job Hypertoad. This is definitely a good source of info, as it came from an official Nintendo website. However, they may be cut from the final game (not likely though). Lucario does make a lot of sense since Sakurai is focusing more on popular Pokemon rather than the legendaries (Mewtwo was still a legendary, but perhaps the most popular one). Otherwise, how could a Pikachu stand up to a Mewtwo in the real Pokemon world? Anyway, we should make a note of it - a brief note -but don't go too much and detail and probably link the image as a source. 15:23, 21 January 2008 (EST)
:::"Don't go too much and detail..." ? What? Seriously though, what do you mean by not going too much into detail? I don't think they will scrap a character, because at this stage of the game, all models have to be designed, moves to be created, etc. etc. There would be no reason to remove a character last minute because he wouldn't be popular enough, removing someone at this stage would meen a character less, not a different as replacement. - 15:27, 21 January 2008 (EST)
::::Sorry, this is WAAAAAAAAAY too speculative. I say, leave it off the article, for now. The games release is soon, so just wait.
:::Good point. It's like 10 days. Did you see the Wikipedia talk page? They're eating each other alive about what Wikipedia is and isn't... so rude and pompus! Thanks for being so down to earth about this and everything else, everyone. 21:37, 21 January 2008 (EST)

So if we're removing it does that mean the mentions of Brawl on Ness and Jigglypuff go too? I don't see how this is speculitive, speculation is non-evidenced assumsions, whilt this is evidenced offical video stuff! And DP, yeah we could wait, but then the people who want to know about who's in SSBB NOW won't know the whole truth. We are a wiki, and a wiki's goal is to give as much infomation as possible. HyperToad
: | :I don't think so. We should give as much quality information as possible, but refrain from unneeded and/or unsure info. - 08:41, 22 January 2008 (EST)
::Guys, just hold up. 9 more days and this will be a non-issue. If they're in the final version, you should mention the leak. If not, don't. :
Why wait when we can give helpful infomation NOW. If people who read this page tomarrow look at it, there going to think "Oh, Lucario, Jigglypuff and Ness arn't confirmed", and then they might find out a week later. But why not give the info now!?! HyperToad
: | :Because we are not a news source for Brawl, we want to document the game. For news about latest leaks and rumors you can go to sites like Brawl Central, the Super Mario Wiki isn't one of them, though. - 09:04, 23 January 2008 (EST)
:: | ::But this leak gives OFFICIAL IMPORTANT INFO! Don't become like Wikipedia, who don't give any helpful info, it's just a brief summury as if you brought it up in a conversation and then changed the subject two seconds later. HyperToad Wikipedia doesn't accept anything not from Dojo, cuz they are stupid, I came here for a safe haven from Wikipedia, but you guys appearently arn't much better.
:::We don't want to get on Wikipedia's level, don't worry. Still, we're neither a a place for rumors, news or a guide ("helpful"?). Further, the release is only a week ahead, and yes this is an argument. About "official info", I doubt that, they showed it accidently, thus it is only leaked, not official. - 10:53, 23 January 2008 (EST)
::::Not to say that having people find out in 9 days is a crime, but I still think giving the info now would work better, but I see that this is not really offical. I think that leaks are trustworthy, but fine, it's not like we're going to get sued because somebody broke their leg because Jigglypuff and Ness weren't here. HyperToad They can read the other pages anyway. |

What's the source for the ESRB rating? - Cobold (talk · contribs) 13:35, 14 October 2007 (EDT)
- I was about to ask the same thing. I'm taking it out until someone answers this question. -Namodod
- Okay, so a Toys R Us ad was in my paper today, and it showed the boxart with the "T" rating. I know that's not the best source, but... should we change it? -Namodod
Peach Final Smash
Should her final smash have a conjectural name??? Javier12345
- No. The creation of articles on conjecturally named subjects from an unreleased game is prevented. In short: no. - Cobold (talk · contribs) 16:10, 14 October 2007 (EDT)
- Actually, I think we should mention her Final Smash somewhere. It has been seen in the trailers. We made an article on Super Sonic, so why not this? My Bloody Valentine
Speculated Characters
Shouldn't we put back the speculated characters section? because there's a huge percent of the rumoured characters being playable in brawl.F g
- A "rumored character" is nothing more than a character someone wants to have in, and that guy just states "XXX is in Brawl!" and it's called a rumor. It's nothing to be in an encyclopedia. - Cobold (talk · contribs) 16:19, 14 October 2007 (EDT)
If there was an official list of the top requested characters, then I'd say include it, but otherwise no.

North Pole and Unknown Stage
Shouldn't the Ice Climber's Stage be mentioned. (In the new trailer, when the Ice Climber's tuant, the floor's icy and there are norhern lights in the background.) SmashWiki calls it North Pole. Also, (I would of brought this up on SmashWiki,(It's more notable there) but I don't have an account) what about the stage in the screenshots here: [1] (Special Moves section) and [2] User:Gowser
- Mario's special move sections show Rumble Falls, Delfino Plaza and Battleship Halberd. I don't think we should mention the other stages yet. - Cobold (talk · contribs) 09:58, 15 October 2007 (EDT)
THAT'S Rumble Falls? with the winmill, looks too zoomed in, and it looks diferent. User:Gowser
- It is, indeed, Rumble Falls. My Bloody Valentine
- As for North Pole, it is WAY too soon to be making an article on a stage that has no official name yet, and has been seen only once; and it was a close up of the Ice Climbers, so the stage could not be seen well. Think about it; How much content will you have on an article that has no official name and no official information? Do the math! My Bloody Valentine And don't go complaining over Norfair. That has an official name that was seen in the Demo Movies.
First off, you are being rude. Second, I NEVER said it need it's own article. User:Gowser
- First off, I'm rude to almost all Users, it is one of my worst qualities. Get used to it. Second, OK then. My Bloody Valentine
Change the W symbol!
The one on the site look different now! User:Klaus Kratchet
- Done. Good eye. My Bloody Valentine

Zero Suit Samus' Final smash...?
I'm not sure she even has one.
Why? Because according to the Smash Bros. Dojo: "The Final Smash is a secret skill that can be performed but once…and only after obtaining an item called the Smash Ball, which is a precious item, indeed."
Since Samus used the Zero Laser to transform into Zero Suit Samus, does she have one at all? Giga Bowser 13:31, 18 October 2007 (EDT)
- It's disputable, she will most likely not have one. - Cobold (talk · contribs) 13:32, 18 October 2007 (EDT)
- And, all this is speculation of a ridiculous level, sorry to say. Wait for the game to be released before jumping to this conclusion. My Bloody Valentine
- Not stating information is hardly speculation. - Cobold (talk · contribs) 08:45, 19 October 2007 (EDT)
- Er, good point. I'll shut up. My Bloody Valentine
- Not stating information is hardly speculation. - Cobold (talk · contribs) 08:45, 19 October 2007 (EDT)
- And, all this is speculation of a ridiculous level, sorry to say. Wait for the game to be released before jumping to this conclusion. My Bloody Valentine

From the E for All. All of them are in Gametrailers, and shows some gameplay of the Subspace Emisary mode (also, more videos of the story), and new elements, like Skarmory as a Pokemon.--Caith Sith 19:08, 19 October 2007 (EDT)

Ball with spikes.
I think it's a Gordo from the Kirby series Freekhenstra
- We don't know what it is, which is why we aren't saying what he think it is. The possibilities are Gordo from Kirby and Sea Urchin from Clu Clu Land. Because it could be either one, we'll just call spike ball for the time being, OK? My Bloody Valentine
Surprisingly Different?
In King Dedede's entry, it states:
King Dedede enters as a heavy and large character, with, suprisingly, a different moveset from Kirby.
How is it surprising? The only things those 2 have in common in their series is that they can both inhale their opponents, spit them out as stars, and float. That's it. Other than that, they are nothing alike. ElementGodX
- I've heard from many that he has an almost exact moveset to Kirby's. I haven't played many Kirby games, so, I can't say for sure. My Bloody Valentine

Yoshi's Island DS?
The information for the Yoshi's Island stage says it's from Yoshi's Island DS, though if I'm correct - doesn't it look more like the original Yoshi's Island game? --Bentendo 16:32, 26 October 2007 (EDT)
- I don't actually know those Yoshi games, but as far as I remember, it stated Yoshi's Island DS in constrast to Yoshi's Story, as the Smash and Melee Yoshi's Island/Yoshi's Story stage were from that game. An earlier version of this page also mentioned Yoshi Touch & Go. Feel free to change things to how you think they are accurate. - Cobold (talk · contribs) 17:20, 26 October 2007 (EDT)

Minor NP information
While nothing was really revealed in the new Nintendo Power, there were new images -
- One showing Meta Knight fighting Charizard, ultimately with the former character winning. BTW - Charizard looks tiny!
- One shows Lucas ding a kick in the air with what appears to be some kind of magic shooting out of his shoe.
- One shoes Diddy Kong happily eating a banana, or finishing it...
- A few show the awesome Metal Gear stage.
- Another Metal Gear image shows Snake tossing a knife in the air.
- Also, the game is on the cover, and it's the same artwork that's on the box. --Bentendo 18:38, 26 October 2007 (EDT)

Counting
Counting is really hard. Look at this page and count twenty-three icons. Then read the text where it says excluding Zero Suit Samus, so you substract one and end up on twenty-two. Should we have a list of creatures that roam around to do damage anywhere? Like Waddle Dee, Goomba, etc. Sort of like ReDead in the last game. NMRodo
- I'd hold up on that. Right now, we don't know that they will act the same as the ReDeads. I'll bet you're right though, but I don't want you to right it just to have it deleted because it's "not canon." Yeah, I'm still spiteful from when it happened to me... sorry. Subspace Emissary Images
Are there too many Images in the Story section, or is the amount of images fine? I personally think the amount of Images is OK, but Fixitup is persistant in removing them. Comments, please. My Bloody Valentine
- It does look pretty tight there, especially when you look at it full screen on a 1600x1400 monitor or whatever the heck this thing is I'm looking at. Maybe we could shrink them and shove them all over to the right? How does 150px sound? Stumpers! 07:01, 31 October 2007 (EDT)

Music
I'm working to rewrite the music, just to let you guys know. In the near future I hope to have an organizable list of composers, with their works in game and favorite works out of the game (those featured by Sakurai). So, basically, what I'm saying is if you're thinking of doing the same don't waste your time, or let me know so I don't waste mine. Stumpers! 19:16, 28 November 2007 (EST)
- Wait, lemme ask. What exactly are you planning on doing to the section? I understand you are going to add a list of all the composers (IMO, we should just give a link to the Musicians update on the Smash Bros. Dojo!! =|). But, what will you do with the list of music tracks in the game? =| My Bloody Valentine
- I'm going to sort them according to the musician (which the website hasn't done yet) for the chart, but I also want to make a list of tracks, perhaps in the same fashion (sortable), that shows which stage it is featured on, who made it, and what game (or games, if there's a medley) it first appeared in. This is all going to take a while, but for now, does it sound good? Stumpers! 20:57, 29 November 2007 (EST)

- Yeah. But, the main issue is that you treat this too much like a SmashWiki. You make article links to Game Mechanics that are restricted to SSB, such as Knock Outs, Transformation, etc. Other than that, you do good with the Brawl stuff. =) I hope you do a good job on the music section. =| My Bloody Valentine
- There's actually a Category:Forms that was more of waht I was thinking with the transformations. Maybe those terms other terms should be in the glossary? Stumpers! 23:46, 29 November 2007 (EST)

- By the way, I just found a good reason for my doing this rather than just directing people to the list of musicians: that list is incomplete. I've already found three people not listed there, including Nobuo, the exteremely presigious Final Fantasy composer who wrote SSBB's main theme. I think you can protect this page from new users by using autoconfirm. You can also set the amount of days the user should have been here before editing the page. Maybe Wayoshi knows how.Knife (talk) 12:03, 13 January 2008 (EST)
- The only options in the protection form currently are Open for All Users - Block Unregistered Users (superflous as unregistered can't edit anyway) - Sysops only. Maybe we need an extension to do that. - Cobold (talk · contribs) 12:07, 13 January 2008 (EST)
- Yes. Paper Jorge

Brawl Central
Can Brawl Central be considered a reliable site? They have much info about Whobby 2008, which could really help the Wiki. NMRodo
I think brawl central is a fake; not needed.F g
Brawlcentral is REAL. They give us info from the new demo and stuff. They are 100% legit.--King Boo 20:56, 13 January 2008 (EST)
- I'd say its reliable...for now. The Japan release date is noyl two weeks away. Paper Jorge
- Link! Gimme link! Seriously, when talking about other websites, you'd do good in providing a link to it, so that we don't have to google it and guess. - Cobold (talk · contribs) 08:00, 14 January 2008 (EST)
- http://www.brawlcentral.com/ Sorry. NMRodo Oh, and someone went ahead and put some of this stuff up already.

... So, can we rely on Brawl Central then?
All characters' special moves and Final Smash names confirmed
Sheik's profile on the Smash Bros. DOJO!! website isn't the only one that features the names of a character's special moves and Final Smash. This applies for the other characters, as well. Even though specific moves didn't have updates yet, they are listed there nonetheless. For example, Bowser's profile states that his side special move is the "Flying Slam" (replacing "Koopa Klaw" from Melee) and Olimar's Final Smash is "End of Day". ElementGodX
- This is truly interesting. Thank you for alerting us. I'll get to it right away! Again, thanks. My Bloody Valentine

This could just be, the BIGGEST NEWS YET!
...*Ahem*
By looking at this Wikipedia disscussion, one can see the main point of what I'm saying. Basicly, a jpanise video was posted on the offical Wii site here. I believe that the section of the video was removed, but image can be found here and here one sees in the boxed area, emblems of NESS, LUCIARO, and JIGGLYPUFF. Look at the wikipedia disscussion for more. HyperToad
Okay, I just watched the video, and THE EMBLEMS HAVE BEEN REMOVED. All the more reason that this is offical, as they wouldn't of removed them if they didn't mean it was a leak! HyperToad 10:54, 21 January 2008 (EST)
- "Biggest News yet"? We still shouldn't integrate them into the article, we'd have nothing to say, no image to show, no move to list. So you have to be patient, it's only a week and a half until release. - Cobold (talk · contribs) 10:58, 21 January 2008 (EST)
- Yeah but then we'll get a whole bunch of random crap from people who have claimed to play the game, I don't see how we can't include this. I'm going to wait for more responds. HyperToad
- Maybe add this into the Luciario, Ness and Jiggly article? That they are going to be in Brawl? Paper Jorge
- 1) There is currently no Lucario article. 2) We won't get a whole bunch of random crap from people, there's a reason why this page is semi-protected. If the spam still becomes much, we can make it Sysops-only again as well. 3) There have been updates to Ness's and Jigglypuff's article, but of quite low quality. - Cobold (talk · contribs) 11:30, 21 January 2008 (EST)
- The emblems still in the video... i see this right now at minutte 4:20--Caith Sith 11:33, 21 January 2008 (EST)
- Maybe add this into the Luciario, Ness and Jiggly article? That they are going to be in Brawl? Paper Jorge
- I've seen the emblems and I know that that means that the characters are in. Still, we should wait with updating this page before we have anything more to show than an emtpy box in the character table with only the name listed. The information can go to Ness and Jigglypuff, but still not in the form it is right now. - Cobold (talk · contribs) 11:35, 21 January 2008 (EST)
- Yes, of course. Paper Jorge And I think we're going to have to wait until Lucario-whatever is revealed officially.
HyperToad
- Major high-fives to all involved! How did everyone predict Lucidcaro-garo-whatever? I thought that was just fan speculation, but there you go! Nice! Anyway, my vote goes for the posting a notice at the bottom of the character sections and posting about Lucario on the Pokemon page... so just more support here. ;) Stumpers! 12:49, 21 January 2008 (EST)
I have misunderstaning? if noy series emblems, then what do you mean? - Ultimatetoad
- Pictures of the character's head. Paper Jorge In the Sticker Section.
- Good job Hypertoad. Anyway, we should make a note of it - a brief note -but don't go too much and detail and probably link the image as a source.Knife (talk) 15:23, 21 January 2008 (EST)
- "Don't go too much and detail..." ? - Cobold (talk · contribs) 15:27, 21 January 2008 (EST)
- Sorry, this is WAAAAAAAAAY too speculative. I say, leave it off the article, for now. The games release is soon, so just wait. My Bloody Valentine
- Good point. It's like 10 days. Did you see the Wikipedia talk page? They're eating each other alive about what Wikipedia is and isn't... so rude and pompus! Thanks for being so down to earth about this and everything else, everyone. Stumpers! 21:37, 21 January 2008 (EST)

Lol, I was just on my way to updating info on this when I thought I should take it to the talk page first, and look what I've come to find. Well anyway, here's a kotaku.com article with images! http://www.mediafire.com/?an2xdhdbxev Fixitup
HyperToad
- I don't think so. We should give as much quality information as possible, but refrain from unneeded and/or unsure info. - Cobold (talk · contribs) 08:41, 22 January 2008 (EST)
- Guys, just hold up. 9 more days and this will be a non-issue. If they're in the final version, you should mention the leak. If not, don't. We shouldn't be wasting our time on the issue of whether to include a footnote. But, yes, I do realize there's some principle stuff here. Stumpers! 14:39, 22 January 2008 (EST)
Why wait when we can give helpful infomation NOW. If people who read this page tomarrow look at it, there going to think "Oh, Lucario, Jigglypuff and Ness arn't confirmed", and then they might find out a week later. But why not give the info now!?! HyperToad
- Because we are not a news source for Brawl, we want to document the game. For news about latest leaks and rumors you can go to sites like Brawl Central, the Super Mario Wiki isn't one of them, though. - Cobold (talk · contribs) 09:04, 23 January 2008 (EST)
- But this leak gives OFFICIAL IMPORTANT INFO!
- We don't want to get on Wikipedia's level, don't worry. Still, we're neither a a place for rumors, news or a guide ("helpful"?). Further, the release is only a week ahead, and yes this is an argument. About "official info", I doubt that, they showed it accidently, thus it is only leaked, not official. - Cobold (talk · contribs) 10:53, 23 January 2008 (EST)
- Not to say that having people find out in 9 days is a crime, but I still think giving the info now would work better, but I see that this is not really offical. I think that leaks are trustworthy, but fine, it's not like we're going to get sued because somebody broke their leg because Jigglypuff and Ness weren't here. HyperToad They can read the other pages anyway.
