“Is your room living up to your expectations? Doesn't it SCREAM good taste?”
Hellen Gravely, Luigi's Mansion 3

Room 503 is a hotel room in Luigi's Mansion 3, located on the 5th floor of The Last Resort, the RIP Suites. It is the room Luigi stays in upon first arriving at the hotel, and it is adjacent to the 503 Bathroom and the 502 Bathroom.

At the start of the game, like the rest of the hotel, the room is brightly lit up and colorful. To the left is a desk, with a fruit basket on top, and a small chair. To the right is a large bed and a glass table with two arm chairs. Polterpup can be seen lying on the bed next to Luigi's bag. On the back wall is a wardrobe between two large windows. Opening the desk's drawer or the wardrobe doors reveals a jack-in-the-box in the shape of a thumbs up or smiling face respectively, startling Luigi. Balloons, presents and flowers are found throughout the room. Once Luigi talks to Polterpup, a cutscene ensues where Luigi grabs a flashlight and a book, lies down on his bed and then immediately falls asleep.

The room's daytime appearance

Once night falls and the Last Resort reveals its true appearance, the room does as well, turning dark colors and becoming covered in fog. The balloons gain bright faces similar to jack-o'-lanterns, while the fruit basket gets replaced with a basket of rotting fish. Gargoyle statues appear outside the windows and the thumbs up and the smiling face get replaced with a hand with sharp claws and an oni-like face, respectively. If Luigi goes to the northwest side of the room, outside the window, a crow will fly away. A few seconds later, a bunch more crows will fly away, causing Luigi to get scared. There are two coins in the drawer to the left of the bed.
