Sizzling Stakes is a 4-Player minigame appearing in Super Mario Party.

Introduction[edit]

The first player walks to a stove. They then have a frying pan, and the screen divides into four.

Gameplay[edit]

The minigame is set in a kitchen. The players must each cook a meat cube, occasionally flicking the pan upwards to flip over the meat, using cues from the Joy-Con's rumble. All human players must press the right button to drop a meat cube. They must fully cook all six sides of the meat cube. If the meat falls out of the pan, the player gets a new meat cube, causing them to restart from fresh. The first player to fully cook their meat cube wins.

The minigame also features a record system with a default record of 25 seconds.

Ending[edit]

The winner performs their victory animation while their cooked meat cube is on a nearby plate.

Controls[edit]

  • Joy-Con (L) / Joy-Con (R) – Lift the pan

In-game text[edit]

  • Cook every surface of the cube!
  • Your Joy-Con will rumble while a surface is cooking and stop rumbling when a surface is fully cooked.
