The title for these characters here appears to be incorrect. Both the original game and the Switch remake clearly name them "The Iron Adonis Twins", as evidenced in dialogue with  Grubba and Goombella. "The Armored Harriers" seems to be their arena title/descriptor (like "The Merciless Executioner" for Gonzalez). I propose that we move this page to the correct title.--[[User:Dorsal Axe|Dorsal Axe]] ([[User talk:Dorsal Axe|talk]]) 11:01, May 24, 2024 (EDT)

:::I think you're forgetting about the in-game rankings. With the terminal, instead of just getting a match, you can "View Rankings," and it shows the Glitz Pit teams' names. I haven't played ''TTYD'' in a long time, but I know it listed their name as "Armored Harriers" there. Yeah, Grubba uses their name and descriptor kinda interchangeably, but that's not really so much a "mistake" or "inconsistency" so much as him mixing it up. {{User:7feetunder/sig}} 23:05, May 25, 2024 (EDT)
::::I'm not forgetting anything. You can check a [https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/s/rfuffctimubsupm/Text%20Dump%20-%20PM%20TTYD%20%28Clean%29.txt text dump] of the game. Grubba's terminal dialogue and the rankings use a dynamic string of dialogue which appears to be linked to the wrong string. There is one fixed string that refers to them by "The Armored Harriers", which appears to be a copied/pasted victory text that's shared amongst all the fighters with the names swapped out (so a dev possibly copied in the wrong text for the twins). All actual fixed, unique dialogue text clearly calls them "The Iron Adonis Twins".

Images[edit]

Is it exactly nessicary to have to seperate images for them that are hardly different? Plus they're bad qaulity. HyperToad@The Iron Adonis TwinsHT Sig.png

Better quality would be nice, but I don't think we should have an image of only one of them; we should either have both together or keep it with two separate. YELLOWYOSHI398
They appear in the Tattle Log separately, their shoe color is different. - Cobold (talk · contribs) 16:00, 3 June 2008 (EDT)

Superguard[edit]

I've figured out out that superguarding defends against the Armored Harriers, but it doesn't counter the attack. Should this fact be put in the article? - User:J-Yoshi64

Revenge[edit]

They actually revenge after the Shellshockers, not the Tiny Spinies. At least it's so in the PAL version... --What's my name? 01:48, 6 July 2012 (EDT)

Ditto for the North American version, just played that fight a few minutes ago and it was indeed the Shellshockers.--174.96.169.116 23:45, 18 March 2014 (EDT)

Move to The Iron Adonis Twins[edit]

The title for these characters here appears to be incorrect. Both the original game and the Switch remake clearly name them "The Iron Adonis Twins", as evidenced in dialogue with Grubba and Goombella. "The Armored Harriers" seems to be their arena title/descriptor (like "The Merciless Executioner" for Gonzalez). I propose that we move this page to the correct title.--Dorsal Axe (talk) 11:01, May 24, 2024 (EDT)

Armored Harriers was their main name in the original game with Iron Adonis Twins being their descriptor, and these names were reversed in the remake. Mario jumping Nightwicked Bowser Bowser emblem from Mario Kart 8 11:18, May 24, 2024 (EDT)
Looking more closely, it appears to only be "Armored Harriers" in Grubba's terminal dialogue, and said by him on stage should the twins win against Mario. All other dialogue in the original game has Grubba and Goombella refer to them as "Iron Adonis Twins" (see this video where Grubba calls them this on stage). Presumably it's an inconsistency/mistake that they've rectified in the remake, but it's not as simple as the names being "reversed" between games. I think we should change the page to indicate it as an inconsistency or typo in the original game.--Dorsal Axe (talk) 13:52, May 24, 2024 (EDT)

I'm not forgetting anything. You can check a text dump of the game.
None of this changes the meaning of the sentence I added to the article that there is an inconsistency with the name that is used in the original game. Nor does it change the fact that it was not simply "reversed" in the remake. --Dorsal Axe (talk) 05:30, May 26, 2024 (EDT)
