A single Magikoopa, said to be Kamek by a ''Super Mario Galaxy'' [[List of Super Mario Galaxy trading cards|trading card]], makes a brief appearance in the opening scene: he attacks Mario trying to rescue Princess Peach and sends him flying into space. A large Magikoopa named [[Kamella]] is also introduced as a boss; she is fought up to three times when [[Prankster Comet]]s are included.
