Saturday Supercade

The Saturday Supercade was the first animated series on which Mario was a regular character. Airing on CBS from 1983 to 1985, this Ruby-Spears production featured cartoon shorts based off of popular arcade games, Donkey Kong and Donkey Kong Jr. among them.

Donkey Kong

In these shorts, Donkey Kong is on the run from the circus, and Mario is out to retrieve him, accompanied by his niece, Pauline.
