- Other than the fact that I've heard/met many people who have played it, there is an official boxart and screenshots posted...I can't say much. But its a real game.

False Information
I played this game online on a site called nintendo8.com, and the world 1 mushroom retainer is still a toad. Can I see a pic of these changed mushroom retainers? -MarioManiac164 (talk)
The article is talking about the FDS release of the game, the online game you've played is most-likely a hack of the original to resemble the FDS version, thus the Mushroom Retainers are left the same. Anyway, here are the sprites:
