NSMB2 section
What do you mean by "they cannot be gone through"? Haven't they always been like that? This should be changed for clarity. YoshiCookie (talk) 10:15, 10 December 2015 (EST)
- I believe it means that you can't walk through them during the brief period of invincibility you get after being hit (which is entirely possible in NSMBW, at least), but since I don't own NSMB2, I can't be sure. Bop1996 (Talk)

I don't recall these obstacles being called "Spike Pillars" in any game, maybe on the guides, but I don't have any. Anyway, two recent games, New Super Mario Bros. U and Mario Party: Island Tour, name them "Skewers" (Giant Skewer Tower is "Giant Spike Pillar Tower" in PAL regions, but we have preference for NA names).
