Rainbow Road is the fourth and final course of the Special Cup in Mario Kart 8. Like Rainbow Roads in previous Mario Kart titles, this Rainbow Road takes place in space, along with Mario Kart TV satellites and space stations. In the background lies the Earth, similar to that of Rainbow Road from Mario Kart Wii.
Course Layout
The course starts out in front of the rainbow-colored track. Followed by the start line is the 8-shaped turn which encompasses the anti-gravity section. At the end of the track lies the gliding pad that leads the drivers to the space station. After that drivers will land on the place with M logo in white color carved in it. The space station contains conveyor belts, which is similar to the one in Toad's Factory course in Mario Kart Wii. At the end of the conveyor belt lies another gliding pad which will lead to the place with three mechanical star rings. After these sections is another corkscrew turn that leads to the starting line. There are three laps in this course.
