Template:Minigame-infobox Upward Mobility is a Free-for-All minigame in Mario Party 9. Its name derived from the term "upward mobility". This game is similar to Awful Tower from Mario Party 3, Leaf Leap from Mario Party 5, and What Goes Up..., from Mario Party 6.

- The Background is the same background as Template:New Super Mario Bros Wii World 1.
Introduction
The camera shows the goal cloud. Then, it goes down to the ground, where the Captain is, as it splits into four screens.
Gameplay
The players must jump on the White-Green Checkered Blocks and Used Blocks to reach on the goal, that is a cloud with a portal-like rainbow. For most of the game, the checkered blocks appear in pairs; however, toward the end, there are some that appear singularly. The player who reaches this goal first wins.
To achieve the bonus objective in Time Attack mode, the player must not jump on the same block twice.
