Template:Minigame-infobox Coin Cache is a coin-collecting 4-Player minigame found in Mario Party 5.

Intro

The four players exit Princess Peach's Castle in the background and run to the stage itself.

Gameplay

The goal of this minigame is to collect as many coins as possible by smashing the Brick Blocks that contains them. Despite what the rules states, all the players win the minigame as long as they collect one coin.

There are three types of blocks in this minigame:

  • The first type is the usual Brick Block that contains nothing and is destroyed when hit.
  • The second type contains a single coin and transforms into a Used Block when hit.
  • The third type contains multiple coins. It may be hit until it is empty, then turning into a Used Block.

Three rows of Brick Blocks move from left to right. They can also be used as platforms to reach higher blocks. The three rows of blocks stop moving occasionally and start moving in the opposite direction a few seconds later. If players step off one side of the screen, they will appear on the other side in a similar way to Mario Bros. gameplay.

Ending

The players perform their victory animations.
