The second variant is '''Koopa Meteor''', which sends both Bowser Jr. and the Junior Clown Car up into the air. The Junior Clown Car then explodes, which sends Bowser Jr. crashing down to the ground at a high speed. If Bowser Jr. hits anyone on his way down, the opponents will be sent flying vertically. This move does hinder Bowser Jr.'s horizontal mobility, however, which may require him to utilize [[Clown Kart Dash]] for his horizontal recovery; Bowser Jr. can still use his hammer to cancel this move's effects though. Also, Bowser Jr. can't grab any ledges until after the Junior Clown Car has exploded. On a side note, although the move is called "Koopa Meteor", it does not have any meteor smash properties.

Bowser Jr.'s Abandon Ship, in Super Smash Bros. for Wii U.

Abandon Ship (alternatively spelled Abandon Ship!) is Bowser Jr.'s up special move in Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS / Wii U. Bowser Jr. leaps up out of the Junior Clown Car, propelling him into the air. The clown car falls until it explodes, damaging any nearby opponents; it also hits opponents on the way down. While Bowser Jr. is airborne, the player can press the standard attack button to have Bowser Jr. swing a hammer, and he can still air dodge as well. A new Junior Clown Car immediately appears once Bowser Jr. lands.

During the period that Bowser Jr. doesn't have his Junior Clown Car, if Bowser Jr. is hit by any attacks that deal moderate to high knockback, he regains his Junior Clown Car sooner than normal. However, if Bowser Jr. gets hit by any weak knockback attacks, the Junior Clown Car will not regenerate, which puts Bowser Jr. at risk of getting KO'd.

The first custom variant for this move is Meteor Ejection, where Bowser Jr. gives up some vertical height, but in return, the Junior Clown Car gains meteor smash properties if it hits anyone during the startup period. The Junior Clown Car also falls faster than with Abandon Ship, but it deals less damage and knockback than normal. Bowser Jr. can still use his hammer after using the move.

The second variant is Koopa Meteor, which sends both Bowser Jr. and the Junior Clown Car up into the air. The Junior Clown Car then explodes, which sends Bowser Jr. crashing down to the ground at a high speed. If Bowser Jr. hits anyone on his way down, the opponents will be sent flying vertically. This move does hinder Bowser Jr.'s horizontal mobility, however, which may require him to utilize Clown Kart Dash for his horizontal recovery; Bowser Jr. can still use his hammer to cancel this move's effects though. Also, Bowser Jr. can't grab any ledges until after the Junior Clown Car has exploded. On a side note, although the move is called "Koopa Meteor", it does not have any meteor smash properties.
