Template:Species-infobox Char-chars[1] are enemies appearing in Donkey Kong Country Returns and Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D. They take the appearance of spherical fireballs, and can only be found in the Volcano world, where they appear as a recurring enemy.

However, if the Kongs blow air on one or use a barrel against it, the enemy will instantly disintegrate. Faceless Char-chars can be encountered as well[2], and may behave differently.
