Layout
In this mission, Toads are being carried away by Paper Paratroopas and Fly Guys. Mario and co. must jump with their corresponding button to free each Toad while avoiding bombs. The color of the Toad also indicates the easiest character to rescue that Toad. If they rescue anywhere between thirty and forty Toads, the mission is completed. If they let an enemy escape with a Toad three times, they get an instant "Too Bad!"
In the Hard Mode variant, Mario and co. cannot let an enemy escape with a Toad once, the enemies fly in more erratic patterns, and a few more Toads must be rescued.
