:I'm on the edge about this. Between ''Mario Hoops 3-on-3'' and ''Mario Sports Mix'', the Special Shot mechanic was simply carried over with minimal changes to accommodate the different controls and modes. ''Mario Tennis Aces'' adopts the volleyball and dodgeball iterations of the Special Shot from ''Mario Sports Mix'', using a reticle to aim the ball to the other side of the field. ''Mario Golf: Super Rush''{{'}}s has an inherent reticle-based aiming where Special Shots are performed like in the previous game. I think this is a case where a mechanic evolved between games as opposed to seeing drastic changes and, given that its name stays consistent, I don't see why the article needs to be split. In addition, [[Power Shot]]s and [[Star Skill]]s operate on different bases, as they can't be used to set a predetermined trajectory for the ball like with Special Shots, while [[Mega Strike]]s are named and countered differently. {{User:Koopa con Carne/Sig}} 18:58, June 8, 2021 (EDT) | |||
