:::::::The only reason I haven't gone through with the merge is that I'm not sure what identifier to use. "(object)" isn't particular to this type of flower, since Flower (platform) and Flower (grapple) are also objects. Would "Flower (scenery)" or "Flower (ground object)" work? Or, perhaps one of the guides cited in this article offers a general term for the earthbound plants that give you items? I was also entertaining a merge with Item container, but I think the scope would get too wide. 06:18, June 2, 2023 (EDT)

::::::::'(ground object)' would sound a bit nonsense. I'd just make a page called 'Flower' and lump everything there, with a distinguish template for Smiley Flowers and possibly the flower powerups like Fire Flower.

Thoughts on merging Flower (New Super Mario Bros. series) with this page?

The flowers in NSMB games are generic plant-based props that produce coins when interacted with. The only practical difference is that they're found in 2D platformers as opposed to 3D. -- KOOPA CON CARNE 11:43, May 29, 2023 (EDT)

I agree to a merge. A flower is a flower, regardless of how it looks. S o m e t h i n g o n e ! Red Bandit.png 11:46, May 29, 2023 (EDT)
Also, for much the same criteria, I think Flower (Wario Land 4) would also be a contender for a merge. -- KOOPA CON CARNE 11:49, May 29, 2023 (EDT)

Flowers is flowers. Change the name to "Flower (object)" and maybe we can merge some of the other pages to "Flower (item)" akin to our Mushroom page. Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 13:59, May 29, 2023 (EDT)
A merge sounds like a good idea. - Nintendo101 (talk) 09:11, May 30, 2023 (EDT)
Agreed.

The only reason I haven't gone through with the merge is that I'm not sure what identifier to use. Or, perhaps one of the guides cited in this article offers a general term for the earthbound plants that give you items? '(ground object)' would sound a bit nonsense. I'd just make a page called 'Flower' and lump everything there, with a distinguish template for Smiley Flowers and possibly the flower powerups like Fire Flower.
