Template:Character-infobox Candy Kong is Donkey Kong's rumored girlfriend and ally in some of his adventures. Her first appearence was in the game Donkey Kong Country. She was the first female character to appear in the Donkey Kong Series, and until now has never been playable.
Apearences
The first appearance of Candy Kong was in the game Donkey Kong Country. Here, she managed Candy's Save Point where Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong can save their progress. In the Game Boy Color remake of Donkey Kong Country, Candy instead, manages the game's various mini-games. In the Game Boy Advance remake, Candy's occupation is once again changed. She now runs a dance studio where the Kongs can play mini-games.
Aside from Donkey Kong Country, Candy did not appear in any other games in the Donkey Kong Country series, though she does appear in the Game Boy Advance remake of Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest and Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble!. In Donkey Kong Country 2, Candy cameos as Swanky Kong's assistant in on his quiz show. Candy briefly appears in one of Funky Kong's mini-games in Donkey Kong Country 3.
In Donkey Kong 64 Candy reappears running Candy's Music Shop, which is found in every area after Jungle Japes except Fungi Forest and Hideout Helm. Here, Candy sells the Kongs powerful musical instruments which can defeat foes and cause certain events to occur if used on a Music Pad. Candy will also give the Kongs an extra watermelon on occasion, increasing the amount of damage the Kongs can sustain. In the end after Chunky fight King K. Rool Candy appears and distracts him, while Funky appears from behind him and shoots him a big shoe, which sends him to were K. Lumsy is.
Despite having official artwork for the game DK: King of Swing, Candy only briefly appears in the game itself, she can also be seen cheering the player. Her next appearence was in the game DK Jungle Climber.
Her first appearence in the Wii was in the game Donkey Kong Barrel Blast, she is the only kong that appears in this game who is not playable. In this game she has her own mode, Candy Challenges, in this mode she gives Donkey different challenges he must complete in order to unlock certain characters.
Other Appearences
She had her own trophy in Super Smash Bros. Brawl, however, the trophy mentioned that she was only rumored to be Donkey Kong's girlfriend. She also had her own sticker.
Appearances in Other Media
On the Donkey Kong Country cartoon, Candy was drastically changed, more so than any other character. On the show instead being the less intelligent blond like she was in the games, Candy had a completely different personality.
On the show, Candy had somewhat of a temper, she was also apparently, the sole employee at Kongo Bongo Island's (as Donkey Kong Island was called on the show) barrel factory. Like in the games, Candy was Donkey Kong's girlfriend, much to the annoyance of her boss, Bluster Kong, who wanted Candy all to himself.
She also made a brief appearance in the Club Nintendo comic "Donkey Kong Country". Like in the game of the same name, she was found at her Save Point; however, instead of letting Donkey and Diddy Kong "save" their progress, she provided them with Squawks the Parrot.
Physical Appearence
Candy has blue eyes, her hair is blond that on lenght goes slightly below her shoulders. She is the only female kong that uses makeup, she uses a pink lipstick and has grey eye shadows. Her clothing consist of pink bikini top, with her name in it, and pink mini-shorts with a belt on them. Her fur has pink shades.
In her first appearence her clothing was a pink swiming suit and wore a pink bow with white dots. Her eye shadows were pink. Her hair was shoulder-lenght and had a short bang with curly hair at the sides (similar to Dixie's current apparence). Her fur was brown.
In Donkey Kong 64 she had the same makeup as her current appearence. She wore a pink mini-short with a black belt ans a pink short-sleeve top. She also wore headphones, and for the first and only time wore pink and white shoes. Her fur was brown.
In the remake of Donkey Kong Country 2 she wore a purple dress.
In the cartoons she had short hair. Her clothing consisted of a white t-shirt, blue mini-shorts and a black belt. She also wore a light blue band and had light brown fur. She wore earrings and golden bracelets.
