A simple gray Snifit.

A Snifit resembles a Shy Guy with a black mask. The mask has an extended nozzle that can fire bullets, projectiles or other objects. They first appeared in Super Mario Bros. 2. Snifits are rarer than Shy Guys, and usually come in three colors: red, gray, and pink. However, in Worlds Two and Six (the desert worlds), the gray Snifits are green. Strangely, there is only one red Snifit in the entire game. In the Super Mario All-Stars version of Super Mario Bros. 2, the pink Snifits are blue. In Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island, all Snifits are garbed in pink.

In Mario Party 2, Snifits patrol Space Land and are members of the Snifit Police force.

The garbage men in the Super Mario Bros. movie are probably meant to be Snifits.

Snifits have some association with Princess Daisy, as they assist her in Mario Party 3. It is possible that they are Daisy's answer to Princess Peach's Toads.

In the demo of Super Mario Galaxy, Mario battles the Snifit Bot, a large mechanical being, which vaguely resembles a Snifit.

Also in Super Mario Galaxy, there are Snifit-like enemies, conjecturally named Astro Snifits, that could certainly be the next Snifit appearance.
