| ===Eliminate the he/she&s/he& he or she abomination. JUST USE "HE"!===
| |
| Please, please, PLEASE abolish those faux words. How I so hate this political correctness BS. Just use the pronoun "he." It refers to both the sexes (I know, I am a 4.0 college student) just as "Good will towards men." refers to everybody. This is inconsequential and suffice it to say, chicks don't care about video games anyhoo (although it makes absolutely no difference to this proposal). I never, EVER want to see "s/he" on this wiki. <<THAT is an abomination. That is NOT a word! he/she is daft and idiotic, as is he or she. It makes it look really unprofessional. Just use "he." That shall be Mario wiki's official policy from now on. And by the passing of this proposal, it shall also be the duty of all Mario wiki editors to eliminate the offenses as per mentioned above from this wiki when came across vis a vis.

| ====Oppose====
| |
| #{{User|Time Q}}: That's nothing to do with political correctness. It's a fact that most speakers of English believe that "he" refers to male individuals only. It might have once been a gender-neutral pronoun, but that's a hundred years ago (see [http://www.thefreedictionary.com/he here] for a detailed explanation). How about using "they"? I'm not sure how well-accepted it is among speakers of English, but it seems pretty handy. By the way, your comment about "chicks not caring about video games" is highly offensive, IMO.
| |
| #{{User|Stooben Rooben}} - Per Time Q. He stole the words right out of my keyboard.
| |
| #{{User|Grandy02}}: Per Time Q.
| |
| #{{user|Yoshario}}: Per Time Q.
| |
| #{{User|Tucayo}} - Per TIme Q, except in the "using they" part
| |
| #{{User|Walkazo}} - Per Time Q. "They" should be fine; it's generally considered a third personal plural pronoun, but it can be used as a gender-neutral singular pronoun (in place of "he", "she" or "it") as well. Also, speaking as a girl, the part about us "chicks" not caring about video games ''is'' highly offensive.

| ====Comments====

| I'm abstaining from voting. I, not trying to be sexest, believe that JerseyMarioFreak does have a point, I can see where he is getting at; but I still think that this is too minor of a project and that the proper way to handle the situation is to leave it as is. {{User|Super Mario Bros.}}

| :Plus, adding on to my last comment, I also see the point of the opposers. {{User|Super Mario Bros.}}
