Revision as of 12:16, February 18, 2011

Thanks for visiting my talk page. If you want to view my archives, look at past revisions of this page. I will not create a separate subpage since it is a waste of space. If you have a question about why I deleted a certain page, please use the section right below this message. Be sure to create a sub-header for the article you're talking about. For these questions, I will answer back on this page for simplicity and to avoid multiple questions regarding the same page.--Knife (talk) 19:07, 20 January 2011 (EST)

Why was ___ deleted?

Penguin Playground

Could you restore the Penguin Playground article? It's a real name. Fawfulfury65 just put the deletion template becuase she thought it was a fake name. It's not. So could you restore it? Either you or Tucayo. - Billtn 01:19, 15 October 2010 (UTC)

You need to provide some official proof. Youtube video titles are not considered official proof.--Knife (talk) 12:47, 15 October 2010 (UTC)

I'm not talking about this on YouTube, I mean that if you look on the World article and that you find World 3 of New Super Mario Bros. Wii, you can see that it is also called Penguin Playground. I hope you understand me? Gold Ghost artwork from Luigi's Mansion.BilltnLuigi

According to this, no one found proof for the names. I don't know why the names are on the World article, but they should be removed immediately. Thanks for bringing that to my attention, but unless you bring better proof than the youtube or an article, Penguin Playground will remain deleted.--Knife (talk) 18:58, 15 October 2010 (UTC)

Red Orb, Yellow Orb, Blue Orb, Coleco

Dude, this wiki needs an article on the Red, Blue, and Yellow Orbs from super paper mario, but they keep getting deleted. When will they be on here? They are an ITEM from super paper mario and deserve an article. Mileycyrussoulja 13:59, 7 November 2010 (UTC) PS: And why did you delete coleco? Even lindsay151 worked on it, and she knows what shes doing.

You should probably create a combined article for all of the Orbs since individually they don't have enough information. Somewhere like Template:Fakelink will be fine. Also, I deleted Coleco because it was a new stub article. As you should already know, new stub articles are deleted immediately.--Knife (talk) 16:12, 10 November 2010 (UTC)

DK Jungle Sunset

Hello! I saw you deleted the article Template:Fakelink. I created it because Garlic Stapler asked me to do that. Is it not better with stubs than none information at all? And anyone can extend it. - File:Yoshi Egg Big.gif (t) Yoshi's Island (c)File:PM2 Yoshi.PNG 17:21, 3 December 2010 (UTC)

We have created a policy that new stubs are not allowed. The attitude that someone else will expand it beyond a stub for you is not a helpful editing style. This is because many stubs created get completely ignored while red links get better attention from potential editors. Garlic Stapler may have said it was okay to create the article, but not create a new stub. Some info is better than none, but not when it detracts editing traffic.--Knife (talk) 06:02, 6 December 2010 (UTC)

Okay, I understand. - File:Yoshi Egg Big.gif (t) Yoshi's Island (c)File:PM2 Yoshi.PNG 16:34, 6 December 2010 (UTC)

Shroob Missile

Why did you delete the Shroob Missle article? I'm kinda new here, so when I went to create it, It had "Warning. This page has already been deleted by another user" or something along those lines. -User:AxemGreen33Popple

Shroob Missile was deleted because it was an unofficial name, not notable, and was a new stub article. Hope that answers your question.--Knife (talk) 15:45, 17 January 2011 (EST)

New Super Mario Bros. Coin World

In response of deleting, I don't really think that thing is considered merchandise. It's another Coin medal game made by Capcom, the guys who also made Super Mario Fushigi no Korokoro Party along with its' sequel, and Korokoro Catcher; along with Donkey Kong: Jungle Fever, and Donkey Kong: Banana Kingdom. The only reasons I didn't provide more info is because I can't translate what it says in the following images, and that I'm critically more focused on adding entries in the Merchandise section, along with it's sub-sections. Can you please restore the article? It bears more info when the japanese text is translated, and deserves it's own article. --RAP.pngRAP... 22:12, 14 January 2011 (EST)

I suppose I can, but I can't let a conjecturally named two liner be created. You can either make it a sub-page of yours until you get more information or keep the information on Toys#Other Mario-themed games for now. For merchandise, the criteria to having an article is the availability of content. For example, Super Mario Bros. Mushroom World does not have it's own article despite being officially named and being a arcade game.--Knife (talk) 19:25, 20 January 2011 (EST)

Wassup

Hows it goin knife? I just needed advice on a Gallery template i made per a passed proposal. Look at Template:Galleries. I want it to be similar to the Staff Teams template except it can have subheaders for characters, games, etc. Right now its not going as planed. You think u can work on it? Mileycyrussoulja 16:43, 30 October 2010 (UTC)

Bro could you stop with the reminders? I didnt know that making abbreviation disambig pages was bad, i was only trying to help. You could have just told me. Mileycyrussoulja 17:31, 30 October 2010 (UTC)

No offense, but thats kinda creepy, in a way. Other admins can just check the recent changes. But its kinda getting annoying getting a bunch of reminders for little things that i never knew were bad or against policy. I learn from my mistakes. Mileycyrussoulja 19:36, 30 October 2010 (UTC)

OK, thanks bro. Mileycyrussoulja 21:44, 30 October 2010 (UTC)

Sorry

Sorry about that, I won't do it again. Artwork of Wiggler for his appearance in Mario Super Sluggers (reused in Mario Kart 7 and Mario Kart Tour)WigglerWhoopinWarrior135' RayquazaPokemonEmerald.jpg

Sorry for the useless redirects

Yeah, sorry. But what's your opinion on the article? Blue Pianta Bowser's lumaArtwork of a Koopa Paratroopa in New Super Mario Bros. (later used in Mario Super Sluggers, New Super Mario Bros. Wii and Super Mario Run) 19:51, 28 November 2010 (UTC)

Thanks. But how does it violate? Please don't merge it just yet, I worked real hard on it. Blue Pianta Bowser's lumaArtwork of a Koopa Paratroopa in New Super Mario Bros. (later used in Mario Super Sluggers, New Super Mario Bros. Wii and Super Mario Run)
It in no way violates that. It's a real life monster truck that was inspired solely by Donkey Kong. It's licensed by Nintendo. Blue Pianta Bowser's lumaArtwork of a Koopa Paratroopa in New Super Mario Bros. (later used in Mario Super Sluggers, New Super Mario Bros. Wii and Super Mario Run)
Thanks so much. And don't go making a real life references page just so mine gets merged ;) Blue Pianta Bowser's lumaArtwork of a Koopa Paratroopa in New Super Mario Bros. (later used in Mario Super Sluggers, New Super Mario Bros. Wii and Super Mario Run) 20:10, 29 November 2010 (UTC)
Thanks. I suggested that page to Edo and he said go for it, so I did. I'm a big monster truck fan, so I figured I'd be the best person for the job. Conjectural Names

Hi Knife! I was told you were working on a policy regarding conjectural names, so I thought you might want to take a look at a proposal I made, which deals with the conjectural names of SMG planets. The proposal says that conjectural names should be clear, professional and straightforward, and should be noted they are conjectural by using a new template, {{Conjecturaltext}}. Please tell me what you think about this proposal. Ok, the proposal was deleted because it was unnecessary, so now my question is, should this new policy about naming planets (clear, professional and straightforward, as well as using that template to alert the readers they are not official names) be written somewhere?--TucayoSig.png The 'Shroom 12:15, 31 December 2010 (EST)
