Lord Fredrik

Template:Character-infobox Lord Fredrik, or referred to as Lord Fredrik, the Snowmad King, is the main antagonist and final boss of Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze. He is the leader of the Snowmads, who took over Donkey Kong Island and claimed it as their territory.

History

Lord Fredrik and his Snowmad minions invaded Donkey Kong Island on Donkey Kong's birthday, with intent of transforming it into their new base of operations. Fredrik used his magic horn to summon a massive ice dragon and a powerful wind, blasting the Kongs off of the island and to a distant land. With the island's defenders gone, the Snowmads claimed Donkey Kong Island as their own, with Fredrik placing his own ship on top of the Volcano and freezing the entire island over with the power of his horn.

However, Donkey Kong and his Kong companions were far from finished. Fighting their way across a series of Snowmad-infested islands, they returned to Donkey Kong Island to reclaim it from Lord Fredrik. After making their way across their frozen homeland, the Kongs find Fredrik in an icy cavern beneath his ship. Lord Fredrik challenges the Kongs to battle, but their ground-shaking entrances cause the floor to shatter, dropping the combatants onto a strip of rock over a pool of lava.

Despite the change of scenery, Lord Fredrik engaged the Kongs in battle. Despite using his magic horn and his own physical abilities to their fullest, the Snowmad King is eventually defeated. A final pummeling from the Kongs blasts Lord Fredrik through his ship and out of the island, causing him to inadvertently destroy the rest of his fleet when he falls into the sea. His horn is left in the possession of Donkey Kong, who uses it to melt the snow and ice on Donkey Kong Island and return it to normal.

Physical Description

Lord Fredrik is a large, obese walrus with a mustache, similar in appearance to Waldoughs. Just like other Snowmads, he wears a helmet with two spikes on each side. He has a dark mustache, two eyes that shine in sky blue, and two tusks. Lord Fredrik's shoulder and bottom are covered with white fur, and the latter resembles fur pants. He carries a wooden horn, which is used to summon the ice dragon. A jewel in the middle of his belt has a snowflake pattern.

Strategy

Lord Fredrik mainly uses his white horn to attack. At first, he jumps into the background and summons six Snowmad minions, which can be stomped on and thrown at him to cause him damage. When hit, he comes out of the background, and tries to ram into the Kongs by dashing into them. In that case, he can be stepped on, which can cause damage to him. Another pattern involves him summoning ice dragons. The ice dragons travel either up and down, which can be dodged by either crouching or jumping.
