P Switch Peril, or Superstar Road-2, is second course of Superstar Road in New Super Luigi U. It is unlocked by collecting every Star Coin in Layer-Cake Desert.
Layout
The player starts in a desert, with a skeleton in the background. Then, three blocks with Bowser's face will fall. After that, Luigi will come across a P Switch and several Brick Blocks blocking the way. When Luigi hits the P Switch, the Brick Blocks turn into Coins, and the Bowser blocks will start to fall. After some higher platforms and the 1st Star Coin, Luigi will encounter another P Switch and some Brick Blocks, acting as platforms. Afterwards, more Bowser blocks fall with some Spinies in the way. After the second Star Coin, a spring, a few Waddlewings, more Bowser blocks and the third Star Coin, Luigi will reach the Goal Pole.
Star Coins
- Star Coin 1: Near the beginning of the level, Luigi must jump from the second high platform after the first P Switch.
- Star Coin 2: After the fourth P Switch, Luigi must jump over Spinies on Brick Blocks to obtain this Star Coin.
- Star Coin 3: Near the Goal Pole, Luigi can either bounce off a Waddlewing or come back on top of the blocks to receive the Star Coin.
Luigi Sighting
- An 8-bit Luigi can be seen by breaking the Brick Blocks over the fourth P-Switch.
