Buku Buku (ブクブクTemplate:Refneeded) are enemies from Donkey Kong for the Game Boy. They first appear in the Forest in Stage 2-5. They swim around horizontally, but charge at Mario if they make eye contact with him. Touching a Buku Buku defeats Mario. Buku Buku share their Japanese name with Blurp, although it is not clear if they are intended to be the same enemy.
