A Yoshi Coin is a type of Gold Coin only found in Super Mario World and subsequent remakes.
There are five Yoshi Coins littered around every level in the game. Collecting five of them is the equivalent of collecting 1,000 Gold Coins. In Super Mario World: Super Mario Advance 2, the amount of Yoshi Coins acquired are recorded on a menu, and if you collect them all, they will transform into Peach Coins.
