Other things happened depending on the time of day too. During the day when players came by the big chest at the left side of the board, they were given the choice of paying coins to play the slot game. The price was 5 coins during the day, with small coin prizes, and 10 at night, with higher coin prizes. Players that lined up three coin bags got all the coins that was saved up from players' past payments (this is similar to the Koopa Bank from previous Mario Party games). On the right side of the board was a hat shell game called the Star Shuffle. Players paid 1 Star to play. The Star was placed in one of the hats, and they shuffled around for a while. During the day, there were three hats to choose from that shuffled slowly, and guessing correctly rewarded the player with two Stars. At night, there were 6 hats that shuffled fast, and if the player guessed right, they got three Stars. If the player made a wrong choise in either day or night versions, they lost that Star forever. The main feature concerning the day/night system was the center of the board, for this is where players got the stars. During the day, the Stars were personally given away by Brighton himself, and he charged players 20 coins per Star. Also, players were given the option to purchase up to 5 Stars at once providing that they had enough coins.

Faire Square at night.

Faire Square is one of the boards in Mario Party 6. It is a lit town with many wacky buildings and fun, unique features that are not in other boards in the game. A Whomp even blocks a path in the middle of the board, and charges 10 coins for people to pass.

There are only four ? Spaces on this board. Landing on the one on the top-left building made a broom fly out of the window and took the player somewhere on the center of the board. The two ? During the day, players gave up 10 coins each. Then, one by one, they chose the chimney which they thought would produce the tallest plant. When all were picked, the plants revealed themselves, and the tallest plant gave the player that picked it all the coins that was put in the pot. At night, the game was the same, but players gave up one Star each. The winner ended up with all the Stars given.
