- Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is a separately released remake; much in the same way Super Mario Advance is separate from Super Mario Bros. 2, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is separate from Mario Kart 8, regardless of how much of its content is different (hence why it gets separate categories and whatnot).
