Director's Notes (Paper Yoshi (talk))Hello, everyone, and welcome to the October Issue of Pipe Plaza!! Before anything else, I need to say something I should have said in the last issue, but forgot to due to being extremely busy and overwhelmed by everything I had to do (which included papers and exams and this). Or just for being incredibly stupid. Your choice. Anyway, I really wanted to thank everyone who voted for me, for the Pipe Plaza and for other fellow Pipe Plaza writers in the 'Shroom Awards!! Being chosen as the Favourite Veteran Writer means a lot to me, and that simply compels me to improve my sections and keep doing my best here in The 'Shroom. As for my managerial role in the paper, I must be doing a good job at it, as MrConcreteDonkey (talk) and I were the second-placed users in the Favourite Sub-Team Director award. Again, thank you so much for your votes, guys. And last, but not least, thanks to everyone who helped the Pipe Plaza team get third place once again in the Favourite Team award. In regard to the Pipe Plaza itself, I have nothing new right now, so let's check the... ...Section of the Month!Last issue's SotM poll got, once again, 11 votes. That's a low voting turnout, so please choose your favourite section and cast your vote in this month's poll! The September Section of the Month, with only 4 votes (36.37% of the total), is... ...Community Report, for the first time ever!!! Community Report, written by YoshiKong (talk), presents readers with all the wiki-related events from the past month, such as promotions, passed proposals or ongoing proposals. The second-placed sections, with 2 votes (18.18%), were Projects Seeking Contributors, also written by YoshiKong, and NIWA News, written as a guest section by Henry Tucayo Clay (talk). Featured, written by Yoshi876 (talk), Tip of the Month, written by FunkyK38 (talk) and Monthly Report, written by myself, got third place, with a single vote (9.09%). Well, I guess that's it for now, folks! I hope you all enjoy this issue as much as I did!! Monthly Report (Paper Yoshi (talk))Hello, and welcome to the October Issue of Monthly Report!! I still have nothing new to announce regarding this section, so let's check the wiki stats from October, September and August, followed by comparisons between those sets of statistics. (Credit goes to Stooben Rooben (talk) and Super Mario Bros. (talk) for the table coding. Stooben originally created it when writing this section back in Issues XXIII, XXV and XXVI, and SMB based his coding for Issues XXXIX, XL and XLI – which I am using in this issue – off of Stooben's coding.)
Community Report (YoshiKong (talk))Hey guys, and welcome to the spoooooky October issue of the Community Report! Boo!! Okay, now toughen up and listen. Veteran admin Coincollector has resigned from his bureaucrat position on the wiki, after having served a term of almost four and a half years. Good luck Coincollector, and thank you for all that you've done for the wiki. You will be missed by many. In other news, we have had a notable change in wiki policy. As explained here, we are disallowing full uploaded soundtracks and game script pages, as well as any other media which goes beyond sampling the content. Check out the linked post for more details. This month, I've made some changes to the formatting of the proposals. Rather than the bulleted list we have had in past editions, the information will now be spread out over a neat table. Don't ya just love progress? These are the past month's proposals which have reached a consensus.
And these are the talk page proposals currently in progress:
And that's all for the Community Report! See y'all next month. Featured (Yoshi876 (talk))Hello, and welcome to this spooky addition of Featured. As it’s Halloween I’ve decided to make my section scary, so I’ve got a little spider in my room. Now without further ado let’s start. Featured Articles No new articles have been featured. Re-Featured Articles No new articles have been featured. FA Nominations There are two ongoing Featured Article Nominations. Baby Mario was nominated for Featured Article Status on September 29th and Mystic Forest was nominated on October 15th. Failed FA Nominations Neo Bowser City (Nominated 31 July, failed September 29). It failed because the article was too short and incorporated trivia made the article feel like it needed a rewrite template. Unfeatured Articles One article has become unfeatured in the past month. Super Mario 64 (September 27th). It was unfeatured because it lacked item coverage, abilities and courses were told in “bare-bone” detail and its Trivia section was too long. Unfeaturing Nominations No new articles have been nominated to become unfeatured. Failed Unfeaturing Nominations No unfeaturing nominations have failed in the past month. Thanks for reading, hope you weren’t scared. Projects Seeking Contributors (YoshiKong (talk))Hey and welcome to the spooooooooky October edition of Projects Seeking Contributors. It's so spooky, you will die within seven days of reading it. But this side effect can immediately be reversed if you vote me for section of the month. Moving on, these are the most recent, notable and active projects seen in the Wiki Collaborations forum board.
And that's it for Wiki Collaborations. Once again, see the forum board for the complete list. Discussions which concern specific issues of articles and pages can be found at Category:Unresolved talk pages. Sections of the pages which have a {{Talk}} template require input to resolve an issue. And that's all for this spoooooooooky edition of Projects Seeking Contributors. We'll see you back here next month (if you survive) with any new issues and collaborations which need input. Tip of the Month (FunkyK38 (talk))Even if you don't agree with another user's ideas, at least listen to them when they bring something up. You might rethink your own ideas and end up agreeing with them! |
