Hmmm... someone moved "Roy" (the Fire Emblem character) to "Roy (SSBM), and "Roy" became a redirect here. Shouldn't "Roy" be a disambiguation page? Sprite of the Ruby Star in Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door CrystalYoshi Yoshi Egg Sprite.png

Accent?

The TAoSMB3 section says that he was given a "Brooklyn accent". First, only foreign speakers of a language can have "accents", and second, do boroughs have dialects? - Cobold (talk · contribs) 11:06, 3 April 2008 (EDT)

Oldest?

I thought he was the third oldest. Is he the oldest in the cartoons or something? Lemmy Koopa Fan (talk)

Lemmy's Land is an unofficial fanfiction site. You can't cite it as evidence for anything. The games refer to Larry as the youngest and Ludwig as the oldest. The cartoons has the birth order as Roy, Morton, Ludwig, Larry, Wendy, and lastly Iggy & Lemmy. By this wiki's writing standards, both are canon, though for reference we use the games unless specifically referring to the cartoons. The idea of him being third oldest came as an assumption that the birth order was literally their order of appearance in Super Mario Bros. 3, which was never explicitly stated, and, in fact, contradicted by official material. Namely, Morton, who under the theory would be second youngest, is directly written as "one of the older Koopalings." Many use the excuse of this line being directly in relation to Larry, which is, in my opinion, laughable. Nintendo wouldn't include this line if Morton were only older then Larry. So, with that in mind, Roy has never been stated to be third oldest, only being the oldest in The Adventures of Super Mario Bros. 3 and the Super Mario World series. The lesson learned? Don't use unofficial fan content as evidence. - AwdryFan1997(Talk)

Roy's size in NSMBWii

Got a question about how the wiki article is saying that he's smaller than both Morton and Ludwig.

I've been watching the "Intro" clip again and again (which, for right now, is the only means we have to compare the sizes of the Koopalings). By my eyes, and with the evidence provided below, I believe he's not smaller than either of the two.

Koopaling-sizecompare.jpg

In this picture, we get a good idea of what the Koopalings look like, fully extended. From this perspective, Morton and Roy seem to be about the same size (Morton may be a bit wider, but that's about it), and both seem to be taller than Ludwig.

Where-as, in this one, the main thing seems to be that, since Roy seems to be doing a sort of leaning over/mugging pose (as compared to the others doing the "Surprise!!!!" pose), he may seem shorter. But that can't be the case. He's just leaning over, at that moment.

Rumors

Can someone tell me where exactly it was rumored that Roy Koopa bullies Iggy Koopa frequently? Weedle McHairybug (talk) 07:53, 16 September 2012 (EDT)

Not saying definitively, because I'm not positive, but Roy was known as Bully Koopa in the TV show? Did it happen there? I never watched the show so I have no idea. I have a quick question, is Roy Transgendered? Transgendered? I mean in the strictest dictionary definition http://www.oxforddictionaries.com/definition/english/transgender. I ask because no one ever seems to agree on Roy's Gender. The name is Roy, the style is feminine, the voice is more masculine. Without going to far down the of specific gender identity Roy seems Transgendered.Despyria (talk) 01:18, 3 July 2014 (EDT)
I've never heard anyone try to say Roy was anything other than a typical cisgender male, with his pink head and originally pink shell merely being a "pink is a manly colour" gag. Anyway, to my knowledge, there's absolutely nothing in the games or supplementary material that suggests he's transgender, so we're certainly not going to bring it up on the article or anything. - Walkazo 01:33, 3 July 2014 (EDT)

Eyes?

Hello. I have a question regarding Roy's glasses. The trivia section says that Roy's eyes are shown in Bowser Jr.'s trailer in Smash Bros, but exactly when are they shown? I watched that trailer many times, and.I never noticed, unless I need to pay close attention or something...

Doesn't say so in the article. You also need to provide links to your userpage in your signature, not just your name. Viper26's avatarViper26's signature text (Merry Christmas!)

Is Dan Falcone still the voice of Roy?

Mike Vaughn and Lani Minella did not provide the voice clips used in Mario Kart 8. We thought Mike and Lani did, but was Dan Falcone the voice of Roy in Mario Kart 8?
