Should these be split? Or stay merged? It's on both the vertical and horizontal variation with different characteristic and Japanese name. Yeah, i know for Baron von Zeppelin, but that may not mean that they are considered the same if they appeared in other games. -- 02:06, 19 October 2018 (EDT)

:I'm kinda thinking that they should stay merged, seeing as how regular Spear Guys in the Paper Mario series can hold their spears horizontally, not to mention the issue of Baron von Zeppelin's YIDS names. Niiue (talk) 02:11, 19 October 2018 (EDT)

Splitting both[edit]

Should these be split? Or stay merged? It's on both the vertical and horizontal variation with different characteristic and Japanese name. Yeah, i know for Baron von Zeppelin, but that may not mean that they are considered the same if they appeared in other games. --Green Yoshi FanOfYoshi 02:06, 19 October 2018 (EDT)

There has to be a limit with this. This just seems like a red/green Troopa thing to me. Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 02:13, 19 October 2018 (EDT)
I should remove the split template then. --Green Yoshi FanOfYoshi 02:14, 19 October 2018 (EDT)
Done! Given what i said about Blaster, on the talk page, the drastic behavior change and Japanese name should may be given Blaster and Bill Blaster splitted. --Green Yoshi FanOfYoshi 02:18, 19 October 2018 (EDT)

In the Prima guide for Yoshi's Island DS, the side variant is given the unique name "Pike Guy", although the Nintendo Power guide seems to generically call it "Spear Guy". LinkTheLefty (talk) 08:21, March 20, 2019 (EDT)

Any thoughts? Like Scorchit, I think Prima had it right in this case given the behavioral difference and separate names in other languages. LinkTheLefty (talk) 14:00, July 12, 2019 (EDT)
