- “In addition to the fun resort spots found in Bubblaine, there are some notable dangerous locations as well. One of these is the underwater cave connected to the lighthouse where gigantic creatures called Maw-Rays make their nests and shoot out their long bodies in response to stimuli. A little caution can go a long way when exploring this place.”
- —Seaside Kingdom brochure, Super Mario Odyssey
The Underwater Tunnel to the Lighthouse is a location in the Seaside Kingdom in Super Mario Odyssey. The opening leading into the tunnel is found north of the lighthouse.
As soon as Mario enters the tunnel, he finds two Cheep Cheeps circling bubbles. Three more Cheep Cheeps are found up ahead swimming horizontally, and there is a Power Moon inside a hole in the wall on the left next to them. Further ahead, there are Maw-Rays which pop up out of the ground as well as the walls. After the first round of Maw-Rays, there are three regional coins, then a few more. After getting past a few crates and Cheep Cheeps, Mario reaches the Warp Pipe taking him out of the tunnel and onto the lighthouse.
The tunnel is listed in the Seaside Kingdom brochure, where it is described as one of the more dangerous locations, serving as a nest for the eels. The brochure advises caution when exploring and traveling through the tunnel.
The top of the lighthouse can be reached without going through the tunnel by using a captured Gushen to hover there from The Stone Pillar Seal Power Moon's location.
