Sea Cactus are underwater creatures that lives in Yoshi's Island oceans. Sea Cactus only appear in the game Yoshi's Story for Nintendo 64. Sea Cactus has spikes on the body. If Yoshi collides with it, Yoshi will take damage. They come in three sizes big, medium, and small. They appear in only the levels of Yoshi's Story, Lots'o Jellyfish, Lots'o Fish, and Neuron Jungle. Sea cacti can survive out of water. If Yoshi walks under a sea cacti that is hanging upside-down it may let go and drop on top of Yoshi.

Although there are many color variations of Sea Cacti, none are more powerful than the other.

- Blue with yellow spikes
- Light blue with red spikes
- Orange with light blue spikes
- Purple with light blue spikes
- Purple with yellow spikes
