Retro Studios is a video game company based in Austin, Texas. They are best known for the development of the Metroid Prime series. They also are considered to be the new Rareware. At E3 2010, it was revealed that they have revived the Donkey Kong Country series after 14 years of making a new DKC game (excluding remakes) by helping Nintendo create Donkey Kong Country Returns that was first released on November 21, 2010 in America.
