The Trick Shot is a new confirmed element in Mario Tennis Aces when playing a game. They increase the player's energy significantly, but are a risky manoeuvre. The greater the risk, the greater the reward. If the player struggles, they may waste their energy, or lose a point. Each character has their forward/backward Trick Shot and their side Trick Shot.

Controls

There are two ways the player can perform this useful trick.

Method 1: Hit the ball whilst using the Right Circle Stick.

Method 2: Press the top button/X twice whilst moving in the direction the player wants to go.

List of Trick Shots

This article is under construction. Therefore, please excuse its informal appearance while it is being worked on. We hope to have it completed as soon as possible.

Mario

Vault: Mario's side Trick Shot. He jumps in the air doing a back flip, and hits the ball.

Hand Flip: Mario's forward/backward Trick Shot. He jumps backwards and does a 360 on his hand, hitting the ball.

Peach

Ribbon Fling: Peach's side Trick Shot. She runs to the side, and flicks up her tennis racket. She performs a kart wheel, catches the tennis racket and hits the ball.

Twirl: Peach's forward/backward Trick Shot. She steps forward/backward, and performs a twirl (around 720 turn). At this time, she hits the ball if the player times it well.
