Anger

I know you've already been told constantly about this, but no matter how many times you've been told, you have never tried to fix your anger and harshness in your edit summaries. I am actually the best person to you this. Check my archives, and you'll see I got in BIG trouble over my anger, harshness and sarcasm via edit summary. So, I'll say it one more time. Please stop your harshness towards other Users. Your obsession over an article being the best it can be does not justify your words to other Users. If you continue on this path, and keep on ignoring these reminders, you will, undoubtedly, be blocked for a period of time. Don't continue on the same road I once walked, it will get you nowhere. Future Daisy Edits

Hey, Fixitup. I was wondering: based on other character articles, Daisy's could also be sorted in terms of series (ie, make a section for her "Sports Career" and put all of the sports series there, making a section for Mario Party, and one for Smash). I wanted to get your permission before I did something like that, because I know you've been one of the most involved with the article. In no way will I be able to do this in the next week or so, so it's not like you need to fear waking up to a re-written article or anything. Stumpers! 23:23, 10 February 2008 (EST)

Sort of interesting that you mentioned that, I actually was reviewing the other articles and I was surprised as to how much worse they looked due to this sort of set-up. I AM being serious mind you. That's why I came to see you first. Knife was showing me some style guideline pages, etc., and it turns out that pages not written in that style are against our style guidelines, which seems rather strange to me. Of course, he and I have been going back and forth about the Peach (item) article (he says it's too long), so I suppose these rules might not be very well enforced for all I know, in effect making them meaningless. Which style are you referring to when you say "that style" ? Also, the reason so many of these pages don't follow a specific style is because everyone working on pages works on them to the point you can see they're writing and making the page in their own form, and not a standard wiki editing form. It's odd when I look at this page then go to Waluigi or Peach's pages and see three considerably different styles of font setting and image use. What gets me the most is image use. I seriously don't know if it's due to the fact many of us don't share the same screen settings or some users just don't comprehend when an image needs to be fixed, scrapped, or replaced. I mean, as you can see on the Daisy article images are placed accordingly to the topic, the size of the paragraphing, and the position of the headers. While on other pages you see images overlapping into wrong sections and thumbnails with run-on sentences. It's disgraceful to the pages and the people who work on them. lol, yeah, it must be the size of one's computer screen. I was referring to the style where you shove all of the spin-offs into different sections from the adventuring content. Obviously we can expect user styles to make articles look different. I hope to explore this more in the future since I see a future problem coming up based on my past discussions with other users. Anyway, more tomorrow hopefully: maybe I can get you some of those links. You should know that in no way am I about to undo all of your hard work to match my idea of style (technically, they aren't my ideas, but the "general Wiki's"). It's all very simple really. I make sure to use the highest quality images I can find. If they have a logo, I photoshop it out. Fixitup

OK, now that was just rude. I was trying to be polite and civil about this, but quite obviously, you don't understand that kind of language. So, I'll hit you back with what you just gave me. You were being an asshole on Talk:Baby Daisy. I believe calling everyone "brainless" merits as flaming, you brainless moron. You are so stuck up and arrogant, you can't tell when you are flaming or hurting others feelings. Okay, let me just say kudos to you for not responding to him. That would have been... bad. Please read all of this to the end, and remember, I'm not sure what happened or who to side with, so I'm not trying to offend anyone. Let me clear some stuff up:

1. Yes, DP is right in that you do have a tendency to get worked up over articles and subjects you feel passionate about. You shouldn't use words like "brainless," especially in regards to other users.
2. DP's first comment was written, I think, in the humblest, least offensive way possible. You took it as an insult, which you really shouldn't. Think about it: DP forgave you for what you could technically be banned for (calling users brainless is technically flaming), and you responded by taking offense to his message and... it almost seems like there's a bit of a threat there at the end of your comment.
3. Regardless of what you've said, DP was completely out of line with his comment. Under no circumstances are SysOps allowed to call people "assholes" and make personal attacks. "Eye for an eye" stuff is completely not allowed.

In other words, DP's attack (let's call it what it was) was not entirely unprovoked, but it was still completely wrong. But, then again, he could have banned your for your comments. In other words, I don't think either of you is blameless, but I'm very, very upset that DP yelled at you. What we have here is a very bad situation. Here's what I think we can do:

1. Whipe it under the carpet - There's some crazy stuff that could happen to both of you if this gets out of hand.
2. I can take it up with DP and see what we can do, although I don't think we'll get anywhere.
3. Ban both of you - I could technically ban you both for maybe a day or two, but why the heck would I rid the Wiki of two of our best contributors?

There's nothing really I can do right now for you, but I wish I could. In situations like these all that each of us can do is modify our behavior in the future, so let's focus on that. I think you need to read over your comments on talk pages and make sure they do not have any insults, because both you and DP are making each other feel insulted.

The images in PNG format

Hello, I was seeing the images you uploaded. It seems that you uploaded them in PNG format, as I assumed you altered it with a graphics program. The question would be why? Normally I replace images with the original file only, and crop when nesscessary. BTW, recently most of the MP5 images you uploaded were reverted due to that I'm uploading a better version of those images. When that's done, you can freely do the PNG process again, be sure you replace the links in the images too. RAP... Still can't believe that Shroobario has 297 images uploaded in a day... ;_;

Oh, that's unusual. Normally I find JPG images instead of PNG images in my own image sites... I have some linkings of doubts a low-bandwidth site would cover the entirely large PNG images. I believe you got it from somewhere, I can tell. My apologizes, but I just found an old website that provides maybe better quality despite in PNG format, and that it has rare images. :D Like...

I can tell you have doubts of finding this one. BTW, I may have to replace the MPT ones, with the images I found. For example, between...

Simple, look at the results. Your image is around 500KB and has those defects if you look closely. My image is around near to 200KB with a higher resolution than yours and has less defects despite it's JPG format.

Oh, it seems that in thumbs, PNG is more clear than JPG, ;|. *sigh* Critcism with both of them...

I'm secretive about images since I'm in a friendly rival at User:Coincollector, but hold on... It's: Beeep! Booooooop! Bop! Bap! *shifty* RAP... I'm gonna put a link of the source on earlier images I find. ;) And your lucky to find MKWii images. Lemme guess, from that japanese website? ;)

Image Uploads

Hey, Fixit! Good job with the artwork from MKWii. I was wondering if you knew about the template {{aboutfile}}? It's very useful for sorting images through the "What Links Here" special page (you can go to Baby Daisy's page, for example, and hit "What links here" to see a list of every page, including images, that links to it, and the template provides a space for a link) and also let's you give the website that provided the image some credit. It's not a requirement by any means, but it might help others find your images easier. Stumpers! 18:13, 20 April 2008 (EDT)

When you're uploading an image, put the following into the summary line: {{aboutfile|image subject (character, location, etc.)|image source (such as IGN.com, Nintendo.com, etc.}} Of course, you're gonna want to change each field, but that's a given. Here's an example: Image:TDS Standard2.jpg Of course, it would be even better IMO if it linked to the exact page of the source rather than just the general domain, but that's just personal preference... heh...
