Template:Worldbox Orbiting Observatory is the extra world of Mario vs. Donkey Kong: Tipping Stars, succeeding Twilight Valley. It contains two sets of levels, E1 and E2, also referred to as Extra Levels[1][2]. The Orbiting Observatory has a cosmic theme and introduces the Magnet mechanic, which consists of magnetic platforms that allow the Minis to walk all around them. In some levels, there are Magnet Switches that can be tapped with the stylus to enable or disable Magnets. Magnets are given an emphasis in World E1, with both Worlds E1 and E2 representing a recap for all mechanics and enemies encountered in previous levels. With the second level of World E1, Mini DKs make their first appearance in the game.

In the background, large planet models are seen floating in zero gravity, some of which are connected into binary systems. Behind them, there are numerous hexagonal windows with a view of the outer space. As indicated by its name, Orbiting Observatory appears to be an artificial satellite. The soundtrack of this world is closely similar to the soundtrack of Cosmic Adventure from Mario vs. Donkey Kong: Mini-Land Mayhem!.

There are two Bonus Levels that are set in this world, B-13 and B-14.
