Hello, I am a MarioWiki newcomer. My username is FireWario. I'm a REAL active user, since I come to the wiki seeking help on the Mario games I play. Just ask me, and I'll tell you where all 3 Warp Zones are in the original Super Mario Bros.! Aside from Super Mario, though, I enjoy playing Legend of Zelda, Metroid, Super Smash Bros., and even Pokémon games. Also, instead of just on the MarioWiki, you can find me on Bulbapedia as YinYang21. That wraps up my intro. Hope you like the games I recommend!

Games I Recommend Trying Out:

Mario Games I Own

I give SML2 the most praise for being the 1st game to have Wario in it!

PokéShop

This is the only place on the MarioWiki where you can find Pokémon. Here are some examples. You can even purchase these!

Pikachu

Main article: bulbapedia:Pikachu

Guess who? It's Pikachu! The mascot of the Pokémon series!

Native to the Kanto region of the Pokémon world, this Electric-type Pokémon is a rodent-like creature with yellow fur. It has long ears with black tips, black eyes with white pupils, a mouth that resembles a sideways "3", two red circles on its cheeks, five digits on its "hands" & three on its feet, two brown stripes on its back, a tail shaped like a Zigzag-styled lightning bolt, and a patch of brown fur at the base of its tail.

Naturally, Pikachu is capable of firing electricty from their cheeks & tails. The latter method is used for releasing excess energy, while the former method is used for obtaining & rosting Berries, defending themselves from hostile creatures, and battling other Pokémon. Despite their penchant for destroying electrical equipment, Pikachu are quite popular as pets, since they need hardly any exercise to maintain their well-being & instead require only periodical discharging of built-up electricity. Also, its ears give Pikachu an acute sense of hearing, and it can even understand human speech better than dogs!

A staple of a Pikachu's diet is the aforementioned Berries, which are what Pikachu eat in the wild. Domesticated Pikachu, however, can eat a variety of other food, such as generic Pokémon food, Real World foodstuffs such as cupcakes, acorns, mushrooms, corn (which, in Pikachu's case, becomes popcorn), carrots, onions, herbs, apples, and bananas, various types of human food, and even things like power lines, telephone poles, and electrical wires (which wild Pikachu may also eat).

Since Pikachu are popular but relatively uncommon, they would typically be priced at 620 Pokémon coins, or 12,400 Poké ( File:Poké Symbol.png12,400). Here, however, you can obtain a Pikachu for only 15 Mario coins! That's File:Poké Symbol.png300 in Pokémon math.

By the way, if you click the button below, you'll hear Pikachu's cry. The same holds true for all of the Pokémon here.

Togepi

Pokémon
Main article: bulbapedia:Togepi

In this next part of the PokéShop, you'll find a Normal-type Pokémon known as Togepi. This Pokémon is small, light, and yellow, with a round body that is still encased in its eggshell, which is marked by red & blue shapes. Its hands lack digits, while its feet have two toes. It also has semi-ovular, brown pads on the soles of its feet. Togepi even have black eyes & five spikes on their heads, arranged in a pattern that somewhat resembles a crown.

Togepi are capable of excreting poison from their spikes despite being Normal-type. They can also retract their bodies into their eggshells, although this ability is only used for sleeping. Togepi can even drain the positive energy of others & transfer the energy to those who need it. In spite of these abilities, however, they are remarkably oblivious to danger, requiring extensive care in order to keep them safe. Taking good care of a Togepi will not only maintain its well-being but also bring you great joy.

Togepi have no known diet, but many of them have been shown to eat fruit. As pets, Togepi also crave ice cream. Of course, Togepi are extremely rare, even in their native region of Johto. As such, they'd normally cost File:Poké Symbol.png24,800, but here at the PokéShop, they're only File:Poké Symbol.png600, or, in Mario math, 30 coins!

Click the button below to hear Togepi's cry.

Ralts

Main article: bulbapedia:Ralts

Over here is the Psychic-type Pokémon Ralts. This Pokémon, which resembles a human, has a white body with legs that give it the appearance of wearing a dress. Ralts also has a green "helmet" with two red horns, a large horn in the front & a smaller one in the back. The "helmet" conceals a pair of melancholy eyes. This serves as an indicator of its timid nature.

Using its horns, Ralts can sense the emotions of people & other Pokémon. If it senses hostility, then it will hide itself from others in the vicinity. However, it is senses optimism, then Ralts will gain the courage to overcome a threat. It will become cheerful & joyous if you are in a good mood. Ralts will even warm up if its horns capture Pokémon & people's warm feelings.

In order to keep your Ralts happy, you must maintain a positive attitude. Otherwise, if you have negative feelings, it will shy away from you. Ralts do not need to be fed, however, making them ideal pets. In fact, when a Ralts is happy, it will make you happy! Of course, their rarity (even in their native region, Hoenn) prices them at File:Poké Symbol.png37,200. Here in the PokéShop, however, they are only File:Poké Symbol.png900, or 45 coins!

Click the button below to hear Ralts' cry.

Starly

Main article: bulbapedia:Starly

Moving on to the 2nd floor, you'll find a Normal-and-Flying-type Pokémon known as Starly. This bird-like Pokémon has a brownish-gray body, a black head, wings colored black only on the underside, a white face, black eyes with white pupils (just like Pikachu's), an orange beak with a black tip, a white spot on its chest, two orange feet, and three tail feathers, two black feathers on the sides & a white one in-between them.

Despite their small size, Starly can flap their wings quite powerfully. However, they are laid-back in nature and are very sociable, although conflict does arise from a group of them getting too big. Starly's calls are very strident, allowing members of a group to easily find each other if they get separated. Their diet consists mainly of small bugs. However, they are also capable of eating nuts & Berries.

Though common in their native region of Sinnoh, Starly are typically priced at File:Poké Symbol.png49,600. At the PokéShop, however, they're only File:Poké Symbol.png1,200! That's 60 coins in Mario math!

Click the button below to hear Starly's cry.

File:Starly Cry.ogg

Oshawott

Main article: bulbapedia:Oshawott

Last but not least is my favorite starter Pokémon, Oshawott! Native to the Unova region, this Water-type Pokémon, which resembles a sea otter, has a light blue body with a "collar" of bubble shapes, a white head with dark blue ears & a face with dark brown eyes, a dark orange nose, and freckles on the sides implying short whiskers, white hands that lack digits (just like Togepi's), dark blue feet with three toes, a rudder-shaped dark blue tail, a pair of fangs that can only be seen when its mouth open, and a pale yellow seashell in the center of its torso. This shell, which is made out of keratin, is called a scalchop.

In battle, Oshawott's scalchop is its primary tool for both offense & defense. For the latter, the scalchop is used solely as a shield, while for the former, it can be used either as a boomerang (for long-range attacking) or a sword (for getting up close & personal). Outside of battle, however, Oshawott use their scalchop for breaking open hard Berries. This is their main food source; however, Oshawott can also eat other types of Pokémon food. Their fangs suggest that they can even eat small fish.

Like other starters, Oshawott are rarer than any other Pokémon. This makes them the rarest Pokémon in the PokéShop. Such rarity would price them at File:Poké Symbol.png62,000, but instead they're available at the PokéShop for just File:Poké Symbol.png1,500 (100 coins).

Click the button below to hear Oshawott's cry.

Mario's 'Shroomporium

Artwork of Mario for Fortune Street

Once again, I cede the spotlight, this time to everyone's favorite plumber!

Mario: Thanks so much-a! It's-a me, Mario! Welcome to my-a 'Shroomporium! Here you'll find a variety of-a Mushrooms that can-a be found all over the Mushroom World-a! Don't-a be alarmed-a, though;we don't-a carry any of-a Bowser's Poison Mushrooms, so you can-a rest easy about-a that-a!

Super Mushroom

Main article: Super Mushroom

Mario: Ah yes, the good ol' Super Mushroom! This magic fungus will-a make whoever eats it grow twice as big as they originally were! Of course, it only does-a this when you've-a shrunk because you've either been hit by a member of-a the Koopa Troop or accidentally eaten a Poison Mushroom-a. If you're-a full size, however, you will simply gain an energy boost. It will even restore your strength if you're-a feeling weak & feverish! And best of all, it only costs-a 12 coins!

1-Up Mushroom

Main article: 1-Up Mushroom

Mario: Here is-a the rarest of the: the 1-Up Mushroom-a! If you or a friend or family member passes out, this healing item will instantly revive you-a! Also, if you scoff one down while you're-a still conscious, you'll gain an Extra Life, or 1-Up, which means that if you pass out, you'll instantly come back to life-a after just a few seconds-a! How amazing is that-a? Of course, you'd expect-a this to be quite expensive-a, but instead, you can-a buy one for just-a 24 coins!

NOTE: There is a stronger variety called the 1-Up Deluxe-a. Not only will it-a revive you or give you an Extra Life-a, but it will also restore-a you to full health-a! They look exactly like the regular ones, so if the 1-Up Mushroom you get-a is really a 1-Up Deluxe, then-a consider yourself lucky-a!

Bee Mushroom

Bee Suit
Main article: Bee Mushroom

Mario: This is-a one of the more unusual Mushrooms: the Bee Mushroom-a! This funny-looking fungus will grant whoever eats it the abilities of a bee-a! That includes-a flight & the ability-a to scale walls made of honeycomb-a! You'll even be able to-a stand on flowers & clouds-a! And you can buy this-a Mushroom for the low-a price of 36 coins!

Boo Mushroom

Main article: Boo Mushroom

Mario: Here's another different-looking Mushroom-a: the Boo Mushroom! If you eat-a this freaky fungus, you will transform into a Boo version of yourself-a! As a Boo, you'll be able to float in-a the air & pass through certain types of walls-a! Watch out-a for lights & other Boos, however; the latter are attracted-a to you in Boo form and contact with both will render you human again-a. This Mushroom can-a be yours for only 48 coins-a!

Mini Mushroom

Main article: Mini Mushroom

Mario: This Mushroom happens to be a double-edged sword-a. I give you... the Mini Mushroom-a! Eating this size-reducing fungus will make you shrink down to the size of a pin-a! Upon being shrunk, you'll gain access to many places that you couldn't reach at your full size-a. You will also be able to-a jump off enemies (without-a defeating them, however) and walk on-a water, since the Mini Mushroom makes you-a smaller than the Poison Mushroom does-a; so small, in fact, that you'll be remarkably light-a! You'll even be able to run up (and-a down) walls without having to use a Triangular Block-a! Unfortunately, however, being Mini is full of-a dangers: one hit-a from an enemy, and you're-a done for. Despite this weakness, the Mini Mushroom is quite useful for-a getting into hard-to-reach spaces to retrieve lost belongings-a. And it's available for purchase at just-a 72 coins!

Rock Mushroom

Main article: Rock Mushroom

Mario: Here is another one-a of the weirder Mushrooms: the rock-hard Rock Mushroom-a! Whoever eats-a this stone fungus will don clothing made entirely out of rock-a! In Rock form-a, you'll be able to roll yourself into a Boulder-a, allowing you to jump, roll around, flatten enemies, and-a destroy purple crystals to obtain items from-a them. This form also gives-a you protection from lava, making it safe for you to walk or roll through-a! And best of all, the Rock Mushroom is only 84 coins-a!

Propeller Mushroom

Main article: Propeller Mushroom

Mario: This is another different kind of-a Mushroom. It's-a called the Propeller Mushroom-a! Eat one of-a these, and you'll find yourself in a special jumpsuit with a propeller helmet-a! With the suit on, you'll be able to take-a to the skies in a manner similar to the Propeller Block-a! Just spin around to take flight & spin again-a to stay aloft-a! Of course, this Mushroom is so great-a that it costs just-a 96 coins!

Golden Mushroom

Gold Mushroom artwork from New Super Mario Bros. 2
Main article: Golden Mushroom

Mario: Here is a certain treasure hunter's favorite Mushroom: the Golden Mushroom-a! While not as uncommon as the 1-Up Mushroom, this gilded fungus is quite-a rare in the Mushroom Kingdom. Whoever eats it will not only have their-a strength restored, but they will also gain-a the ability to temporarily run at a breakneck pace-a! If you're-a lucky, the Golden Mushroom will also give you a lump sum of-a coins, fattening up both-a you and your wallet-a! However, the Golden Mushroom is quite costly to purchase, since it costs-a 108 coins.

Mega Mushroom

Artwork of a Mega Mushroom in New Super Mario Bros. 2
Main article: Mega Mushroom

Mario: Behold... the greatest Mushroom of them all-a: the Mega Mushroom! This bulky fungus will make whoever eats it grow to a tremendous size-a, clothing & all! As a towering giant, you'll be able to crush anything in your path-a, including even the largest & toughest of enemies! This will make you invulnerable to any attack whatsoever-a! It doesn't last very long, however-a, so do as much-a damage as you can-a in order to earn plenty of 1-Up Mushrooms! Of course, the Mega Mushroom happens to be the most expensive Mushroom in the 'Shroomporium, with a hefty price of 120 coins-a.

Well, that's all of my inventory-a! Back to you-a, Fire Wario!

Why thank you, Mario!

Fire Spotlight

This is where I showcase other users who deserve more recognition than those so-called Sysops give them. This year's tragically underappreciated user is:

Fawfulfury65

FawfulHammer65.PNG

This March, Fawfulfury65 was unfairly demoted from Sysop to Autopatrolled just because she had been inactive for a while. She's made tons of contributions to the MarioWiki! She doesn't deserve the demotion she's gotten! Come on, Sysops; give her a break! Make her one of you again! I don't know about you, but I actually appreciate all she's done for the MarioWiki. Just look at this userbox!
